Have been thinking over what trim level to go with next time I trade in the future. Currently have a 25 GT Premium 400A and like it a lot. Was considering maybe going Dark Horse next time but after research I think I like the GT Premium seats more since they are full leather or leather type material, also come standard heated and cooled. Have to go 700A Dark Horse to get cooled, seems odd 600A Dark Horse does not come cooled, just heated at that price. 400A GT also comes standard with the aluminum pedals and have to go 700A for those also. One thing I do wish Ford would change is allowing getting the B&O for $995 instead of the $2500 because have to add the 360 co pilot option to get B&O, kinda a rip off. I did not option the B&O on mine. Anybody else have thoughts on the interiors compared to each other? Not real crazy about the dark horse seat colors either, I just have black leather in my GT. the main attraction to going dark horse is mostly having the top trim level which is nice and I would like but do not really need it over the GT for daily driving. Ford may add new trims in the coming years also, I will not need to trade for a few years.

Ummm, you just got a 2025 GT? Go drive your car!

Come back in a couple of years when you want to trade in and do a real time snapshot at what is available rather than putting the brain power into the mental gymnastics now.

Yeah true, always planning ahead on next trade move though. Yeah also true Ford will probably have a new trim out maybe for 2026, or change up something in the near future. thanks.

Don't worry about whether or not you should trade up in X amount of time as yet.

It's best to just take your new GT on some back roads, bang a couple of gears and maybe get mad at 3rd for locking you out of a shift - or, if you have the A10, bang none of the gears - and you'll forget the Dark Horse exists. Otherwise you'll never be satisfied with your decision.

To be honest, and IMO, there's not much difference in driving feel between a fully loaded 401A and a 6/700A until you add the Handling Pack - the ride's a tad stiffer but that's it. You get more customization in the form of color mix/matching with a GT as well.

If a green or orange comes out in 2026, then maybe it'll be worth it to downgrade from a Dark Horse. /j

Yeah regular dark horse without handling package appears close to GT with performance pack and magneride , same size tires, etc. for a daily driver the GT is just fine. we may get some news on any changes made for 2026 models this summer, not far off. thanks again.
