Actually started watching this yesterday, it's nice to see Ford's CEO is a car guy, and a normal human for that matter. Most CEOs are disconnected from the real world.

Sometimes Farley contradicts himself pretty bad, but him and Akio are huge car guys.

Be nice to get a mix. AWD ecoboost or NA coyote motor. or RWD factory supercharged.

What was it like $175k. Folks are known to put down $100k these days for vehicles. Far as high performers go, this is reasonable compared to european entry level super cars, or stuff like the gt40's.

Happy with my $30k version.

The GTD is WAAAAAYYYY past $175K. Been talking to a few people and just wait till we start seeing peoples actual MSRPs for their cars.

Even though the GTD will be street legal, that doesn't mean that is what it was truly intended for. This car is not for the average "joe". This is a road racing car out of the box that will appeal to a lot of drivers and race teams, especially at the semi-pro level. I've seen owners and teams spend lots of money converting street cars into race cars. This one comes already done at a similar cost.

In the article, it says base MSRP is $300,000!

The GTD is WAAAAAYYYY past $175K. Been talking to a few people and just wait till we start seeing peoples actual MSRPs for their cars.

I think the price of these things was like $300k or more so Magic 8 Ball says "That is likely".

I was watching an interview this morning from a Dodge (I think) Dealership in Pennsylvania. Sales guy was selling a customer an $80k pickup truck (those things are expensive, damn!!!) and it now costs $100k. The buyer walked and now the truck will sit on the lot as nobody is going to pay $100k for an $80k truck.

The GTD was already pretty expensive and some people probably over leveraged themselves to try and get one; adding an additional $60k USD (mininum) is insane.
