as someone who swapped from stock AVE to the FP kit i can say it does not have fake sound. the sound is very real and very much comes from the back of the car where the exhaust is. (especially the pops)

It does have ā€Sound Enhancementsā€ ā€¦.. coming from the OUTSIDE of the car near the Rear Air Diffuser, sometimes from Dual pipes and other (OFTEN) times from the Quad pipes!!! Lmbo!!

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping this was the case. I am curious what they refer to as the "electronic sound enhancement", or if this was mistakenly left in from the Ecoboost models on the spec sheets. I agree, the sound is great and I am conetemplating putting in an order on a 25.

Quick update:
I made frequency measurements and found a constant 46Hz buzz once I started the engine, independent from engine RPM.
That sucked the life out of my sub.
I then stumbled across a thread about subwoofer problems and in the meantime someone found out how to deactivate Electronic Sound Enhancment with Forscan.
In module ACM change whatever character you have in the third column of the following line to zero:
727-01-01 xxxx xxxx 0x--

Result: no more buzz and controlled sub instead.

The Ford website even advertises ESE specifically also for the V8s, totally strange.

V8ā€˜s get ESE which works through the speakers. EBā€™s get ANC which works through the built in mics. Two different systems.

Lol, that's not quite right either... ANC is convertible only (Ecoboost) ESE is FB only (Ecoboost).

You must have quoted the wrong post ...
I did I not write anything about ANC.
Only about the ESE on my V8 Vert.

I was responding to this. We have two threads regarding ANC & ESE running right now.

did you tap into the front or rear speakers for your sub signal?

Neither nor, just to answer possible OT follow up questions I quote what I wrote elsewhere  :

Get the PAC Audio AmpPRO AP4-FD31.
True plug & play (driver side in trunk) with necessary harness included.
Will get 6 channels cinch preout + remote out and speaker cables for front woofers, mids, center, rears and main sub.
Fader, balance etc. will work.
It has also an optical digital out, but then Fader will not work.
Only thing you need to do is either connect the a pillar tweeters with a separate cable to the mids in the doors, or route the new cables to the rear where you place the new amp.

I kept the original speakers and use an 8 channel DSP-Amp from Helix and it's a day and night difference.

Could be they want to create a basic dark atmosphere by adding a constant deep bass foundation or something.
I did what I could to turn off that feature in Forscan and my sub plays as intended now. That's that.

Believe what you want.
I'm not Ford so no need to argue with me.
