Hello everyone. I have a 24 GT with PP and Magna ride and I usually have it in sport. When I go around corners spirited or on like coming down a curvy on ramp any deviation in the road wants to send the rear of the car out. Does that seem normal? I only ask because I have a 78 Chevy Malibu that has a 25 year old performance suspension and 17 inch wheels and tires and it almost seems like it sticks and corners way better than this Mustang. Any thoughts?

•Maybe try more expensive summer tires?
•wider wheels and tire setup at the rear
•try subframe support brace

Sounds like a tire issue. What kind of rubber are you running?

Check tyre pressures, there maybe a rear alignment problem, or maybe you're not used to a car with a pointy front end. (Suspension, that is)
I can't say mine feels like the rear wants to go walkabout

Thanks for all the replies. I have the factory Pzeros on the car yet and it was only about 55 degrees out that day and the dash did say the tires were at 38 psi. So i will drop the pressure down a little and it kind of sounds like it may be normal ish for this car. So I will look into some of the aftermarket options for the rear of the car. Thanks again, Jason.

My car used to get tail happy around corners especially when I would try to power out. The stop the hop kit solved that problem completely. I did the braces, spacers and busing gap fillers.

Ohhh yeah. Too cold for those summer tires and too much pressure. No wonder. It's not the car, it's the tires. Those Pirellis get hard in cold temps and you should be closer to 32 PSI.

Switch to an all season tire or wait for temps to get warmer. 👍🏻

Haven't you watched all the Mustangs crash at car shows and cruises?
These cars from the factory are quick and require a few driving skills. Adding a few extra after-market items and tires will help but be careful out there!

One other thing. Check to make sure they took out the orange wedges they install for shipping magneride mustangs. When I first got mine it handled like this, checked the front springs and they had left the wedges in. Was much better after.
Also, highly recommend the stop the hop kit anyway.Massively improved the car overall.
