Those look like Canadian Prices. My GT Prem (all options except auto) had a MSRP of $75,000 CDN and I paid $70,000 CDN. The car was on the lot, not ordered. I personally would not have gone for a Base.

"... been dreaming about owning one for years..."

Does anyone dream about getting a base model?

If you wouldn't ever use the extra features, get the base model and save some money. If you like the idea of ventilated seats, one screen not two, etc. then save up over the winter and let the 2025's drive down the price of the remaining '24s on the lot. If you are a US customer, join MCA today and find a dealer that participates in X-Plan pricing if you cannot negotiate any lower than that yourself. Search this forum for more info on X-Plan if you're interested.

I sold my S197 and went a year without so I could buy my S650 spec'd the way I wanted it. I have no regrets.

Bottom line, do what's right for you and your financial situation.

Lot's of great advice. I agree with others who advise going base car if you intend to modify and race etc.
I went for premium and 401a because I don't intend to race or modify other than little things like catch can etc. My car will never see a track but is more of a second DD and weekend pleasure car. The way I look at it is I can always modify the suspension, engine etc but it's kind of difficult and very expensive to modify the creature comforts that come with the premium. I've purchased a lot of cars during my 64 years on this planet and I can say that at least for me, when I purchased a lower end model, those blanks on the dash always left me wondering "what if". Whatever you decide, make it your own car. That's the beauty of the Mustang.

So wait- if I get 401A but a manual transmission am I a driver or not a driver? 😜
I'm not sure I understand your comment, I stated that I am a driver who doesn't go for fancy add ons that have features that I would never use. It had nothing to do with you at all but for some reason you had to make a smart assed comment.
Oh yea one more thing, I'd rather spend 4K on Bilstein B16 coil overs with a corner balance and perfect alignment than air-conditioning my balls 😉

This is Mustang #9 for me and besides my '67 my favorites are always the premium trim cars.... If you are going to road trip or daily drive I find the Premium trims to be the best. IMO.

Hello Community,

I am thinking about buying a GT Mustang, been dreaming about owning one for years and here I come, almost ready to order one.

However my local dealer offers two types:

GT Base and GT Premium, the only difference between the two is for premium: memory seats, leather seats, heat/cold seat, connected screens, rear perofrmance spoiler, dual lines on hood and above car.

Base has all remaining features of premium including active exhaust and quad tips.

the difference in price between the two is a little too much, locally the gt base is 66,838.56$ and gt premium is 79,426.61$. Base option is better and more comfortable financially for me however i am worried that i might feel a little regret that i did not get the premium.

Should i get the base and in future months add performance spoiler ? I appreciate a lot your opinions. Thanks in advance.
I have base GT 301A, heated front and passenger seats, 47K. You can add the spoiler and dual lines above the hood. This will save you some money.

I got a 400a premium, DMG, NPP, 360 Co Pilot assist B/O, with Magnaride and Emberglo int, which I think gives you a little extra interior wise. For 54600 in NH in January off the lot. For me the Magnaride is awesome, I could never go back. It's been trouble free other than a few AA issues but my last car had them as well. I'm close to 12000 miles. AE would have been nice but put a Roush h-pipe on it sounds good. It's my daily when it's nice out. Also at 300 miles switched to Contis, car handles nice when I want it to, rides like a caddy in normal mode.

Also it's an A10 with PP, I work in the industry so I'm tired of working on cars lol. Just rather have the stuff I wanted, but if I had the energy like I used to probably would have done a base and made it my own. Lots of decisions it's a sweet car, nice to have options. While we still do!

It's crazy that the same car with the same options minus body color options is at MSRP $62000 for MY 2025?

then why was the price listed in dollars instead of local currency?

edit: Canada makes sense. If the customer is indeed in Canada.
People do a lot of strange things lol.

But yeah its probably Canadian dollars. If you convert it it makes a lot more sense.

Thank you all for the great comments. I live in Saudi Arabia and prices here are high due to taxes and import fees.. etc.

I am mostly just worried about the cloth seats, regarding the seat cold/heat feature, it will be nice to use sue to weather conditions mostly in summer. I think i will go with the base model which includes premium features like: B&O audio, AE, MagneRide.. etc

I converted the prices using google from SAR to USD.😁

I bought GT Base 301A Auto Active valve exhaust and I'm pretty happy with it. Purchased in July 2024 in Toronto for US$38k / CAD 54k.
