Hood decal removal?

I have never been a fan of decals in the long term of care of my vehicles. Discoloration, ghosting, peeling, etc…
It appears that on my hood the decals rest in a recessed portion of the paint?
Is that the same one everyone’s? Or was my car repainted without me knowing?

Sooo apparently it is. Haha. Just got the car a few days ago and was not told about the ppf. So I was very confused at first.

Mine is also ppfed but I had them do the hood in 1 pice so no gaps the decals are glossy now but idc maybe even like it better

I kinda like the matte finish of the decal on my hood too keep the glare down.

I offer the question, why put decals on cars in the first place?
For the cost of these cars there should not be any decals.

My biggest "turn off" with the DH.... though a good striping place should be able to remove it (just don't wait too long).

Im torn if I would leave the stripes on or take them off if I bought a Dark Horse...

I think I would probably leave them on but wouldnt be mad if someone took them off.....

I just asked for an estimate to get the decals removed and have them recreated in paint.
It is a company that has done a lot of work for me in the past and I trust them to do a perfect reproduction in paint. They are very interested in the job!

They are not greedy, I have had them work on my cars and they always do a great job for a reasonable price.
