Back in the day, 60s and 70s, lots of us would install Cherry Bomb mufflers on our muscle cars and sedans. Nothing sounds like them. I'm thinking about putting them on my 24 GT with Whipple SC. Or we'd use regular glass packs. Anyone has experience with these on newer Mustang's?

I can't imagine that they would sound very good. They are resonators at best and these motors need a little baffling in the muffler to tone down the raspyness IMO. Honestly love the way my car sounds bone stock.

I'd like to try M80 Cherry Bombs. Probably have them so I could take them off and put the regulars on. I have the new fangled buttery valves. So maybe I could close them a bit for quietness. Not much on YouTube. Most Mustangs just sitting there and revving. Lots of Chevys. But Mustangs sound different.

Go for it, get a couple of nice videos for everyone to assist with making a decision on that option. I know they sounded good on my old 460ci BB. But the flow master 40 series just sounded so much prettier.

I've heard those too. It's just the Cherry Bombs have a deeper sound on a Mustang. Since it has a supercharger it'll probably scream in the 1/4 mile. No videos show that combination on YouTube.

There are glasspack systems, they just aren't Cherry Bombs. Flowmaster Outlaw and AWE Track off the top of my head. Think Pypes has one but it's made in China. Kooks has an axleback.

I put the Magnaflow xMOD straight through on my 2021 Challenger Scat Pack and it was obnoxious - pretty close

I think the M80 and the Extreme Cherry Bombs are axle backs. The Extremes look like turbo mufflers.

I once took the mufflers off a Harley . So loud a motorcycle cop walk into the street to see who it was. Went home and put the new muffers on. I'm really debating on this. New car, and not hurting for a couple horses. When you're making a bit over 700 ponies, six to ten more won't be missed. I don't even use it to its full potential. It's there just incase. I do have the factory valves to help quiet it.

Yup. Had them on my '69 Roadrunner and '70 SS 396 Nova. Ran them right off of the headers on my Nova. It was very loud.

I used to go through the JC Whitney catalog and figure out ways to save gas. Adding up all of their claims, I figure my car could MAKE 3 mpg. I’d never have to buy gas again!!
