FYI that window tint from factory isn’t really tint film, it’s a dye in the glass. And FWIW, it’s equal to ~20% film. Thought I’d mention it since you mentioned minivan tints.
I never really thought about that, but it makes sense. I was pretty close with my guess of 15%-25% though!

75% on the front windshield, 30% driver/passenger, 15% for all rear. Ceramic all the way around. Tint guy offered me this new (slightly more expensive) form of ceramic tint, that is made to block heat. Had a heat lamp and held up 3 forms of tint, one being SWT, one being normal ceramic, and the last being the heat-blocking ceramic. Safe to say it almost eliminates 90% of heat while driving, if that's what you're after. Then again, sitting the car will always get it hot, but I will say it stays much cooler than my Civic with regular ceramic tint.

Sounds good. Do you know the brand they used?

I was wondering the same thing. I’ve used Xpel Prime XR plus since it came out and I really have loved it.

I prefer 20% on the sides of my vehicles and either a 5% windshield strip or 35% whole windshield.

70% front windshield, 55% back windshield (convertible so it's small), 25% side windows but shop guy says his gun reads 17% due to the slight tint from factory.
I did the front and back windshields separate and to be honest I'm not happy with it because it's not dark enough.
I want to go 15% all around with a 55% front windshield.
But since I'd have to pay to redo it to really get my money's worth I feel like I should do 5% all around with a 25- 35% front windshield.
I know that sounds aggressive but when I look out of my side windows at night that are 25% or 17% if you include his readings d/t installed factory tint I can see fine, and the front will also have the added benefit of the high intensity headlights.
What do you guys think would be good for a 2024 race red convertible performance
8 yrs with 5% sides and rear, 35% windshield. No cops, no vision obstruction. My car was cool (And I live in the deep south). I see out, no one see's in. You'll be fine. Besides...a wise tint guy once said, if you're ever pulled over, roll your windows down.

20% or less....the higher shades don't keep the sun out enough

I did the driver side + plus passenger 35%, quarters + rear window 15%.
The windshield instead remained standard.

Live in Italy.

In the state of TN you can get a waiver to get darker tinting if you can provide a medical note from a Dr stating such.
I got the waiver due to my wife's light sensitivity issue, yes, it's real, and it can be nasty if we went somewhere without the tinting exposing her to full sun for an hour or so.
The Dr wrote an RX for down to 5%, and that is what I put on the sides and the back. Both passenger/driver and the rear seat section.
I also put 20% on the windshield down to the AS1 line.
I have driven this at night and yes, it is darker, but I can still see the other vehicles, roads, lines on roads, street signs, buildings etc etc just fine.
I'm use to it because I have driven the same in FL for years, and in TN for the last 30 or so.
ymmv.
