The real plan was to go electric, but it looks like that is gonna be pushed much farther out…

they are gonna milk this as long as possible, I’d expect not 1 but 2 refreshes… the charger/challenger playbook…
Same car for 15 years…. Or longer.

so I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything more than a different bumper, maybe some fender flares, a few badges..

Technically, the EB is front/mid since the block is behind the front axel (or very near to being 100% so).
Hmm...by that logic, I could say I drive an F12ecoboost and mostly technically not be wrong...😝

As long as there's still a "practical" Mustang around (is a coupe/sedan that has a usable trunk and either seats 2+2 or 4-5), a front-mid "pure sports car" 2-seater Mustang would be cool in my book.

The 8 speed DCT in the rear allowed ford to move the engine to a front-mid engine setup. It can be more easily seen via the GT3 version

You would think if the s650 was gonna be on sale for 10 years they'd be stretching out the release of variants to always have something fresh. Instead, we're what? A little over a year after s650 being released, and we've already gotten the GT, Ecoboost, dark horse (mach-1) replacement, California edition, 60th anniversary, and GTD, with the Gt 500 equivalent rumored to come out in 2025. They are burning through these variants like they're in a rush. That sounds like something you would do if s650 was planned to have a shorter production run.

California Special and 60th Anniversary don't strike me as variants the same way Dark Horse and GTD do. If anything CS and 60 are dressed up non-Performance Pack GTs more than anything.

@DeluxeStang , you have to reframe your timeline… back when they were unveiling everything GT,gt3, DH etc… they were looking to fast track a EV mustang….

actually you nailed it, like they were gonna go out with a bang GTD … all that has come to a complete stop basically…. And the blue oval is caught flat footed… so they started throwing out the raptor idea and

now they’re forced to milk it even longer.

if the s750 isn’t gonna be full EV, and needs to be hybrid or even ICE compatible…. It will be a very long time before we get that.
