How is the A10 holding up with the Whipple?

Would like to know how the 2024 & up A10 is doing with boost. Would be great if folks would list how many 1/4 passes and how many roll ons their A10 has seen. Obviously both if this is case.

Issues, if any, modifications (trans coolers, etc.) and if your A10 has been rebuilt/beefed up either out of necessity or out of precaution.

I am on the fence with boost on my 2024.

So long as you don't go past 7th gear in boost you're fine.

Some have changed the tire diameter and / or final drive ratio to keep the transmission safe

This is well documented for the s550.

I am hoping 650 owners will chime in. I am familiar with the 10R.

Ford's frictions loose roughly 20% of their surface load capacity due to the fluid channel design for heat removal.

C clutch is weak (7th gear) since it only holds 5 frictions, and in practice, you only have the surface area of 4 frictions, which is borderline at best.

Hoping Ford did a redesign in this area, similar to the CDF drum and anodized outer shell.
An opened up 2024 - 2025, 10R would tell the story.

300a , so base model coolers… mine has been awesome, crispy AF, plus the whipple tune adjust shift points etc, makes is so much more enjoyable drive..

maybe 5-6 track passes, more this year for sure… and I’m pullied down on a 3.5 with E30/boostane

I never do back to back passes, and I don’t drive it hard when temps are say 230* plus.

I don’t go WOT into 7th and I never put it on a dyno
Ran 9s in its sleep letting off

Whipple already tells you not to go full throttle into 7th...

I think @LethalPerformance has been rocking the 10R80 with a whipple for some time, maybe they would be willing to comment?
We raced our DH several times with the Whipple before going to the Stg 3 upgrade from RSA. Never had a single issue with it but we knew we were going to be turning the power up over what we know the stock steel and frictions would be able to support. So after running my [email protected] I had RSA build the trans. Since then I've been [email protected] and the built trans is holding up great.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!
