You mean the borla switchfire? It still a resonator deleting, supercharged or not (which will add the "whine") it will not change much differently than a standard GT with a x/h-pipe from other brands.

Having heard both corsa and borla exhausts at car shows/meets, I will say whoever commented on here that 99% of the sound is mainly from the engine is correct. Can't go wrong with corsa/borla/awe, just get the cheapest one you can and do research on which ones don't drone. Corsa from what I can tell leads in that department

Exhaust mufflers (or complete exhaust system) is different than just a midpipe (resonator deleting), the difference in sound note can be very different. On a thing I agree, Borla lives of its name (hence the price), but it delivers!

so, to add to this thead. My Saleen has the Borla Atak on it, and for a daily driver or long driver, I’d say it might be a bit much. With the windows up, on the highway cruising st 75-80, there is a bit of a drone Inside. Around town, and playing on fun roads, it’s amazing.
At start up in my apartment parking garage (when I do take it home) it literally sets off car alarms at start up.

Is that so? They advertise no drone. I had borla on my v6 s550 and it didn't drone at all. So that surprises me.
I have seen people say corsa handles interior noise and drone better than borla.

I don't want drone or loud interior noises. I have seen that people say corsa does it better with interior noise vs the others. But I had borla on my s550 v6 and it didn't drone either.

Active exhaust and X Pipe here sounds great. Maybe some gains to go all 3” with a Whipple but NA its awesome.

I have the corsa extreme with high flow cats and kooks headers. It’s NASCAR loud on throttle. You have to have the active exhaust because cold starts are way loud! I love it! Driving it sounds amazing but it definitely loud. I think the kooks headers have a majority to do with it.

then, in terms of quality of sound it is better to add an H-pipe or exhaust mufflers? I would like to increase the volume but at the same time I would like to travel peacefully for long distance trips, my car has active exhaust. I am worried about the drone inside.

H-pipe, you will preserve your active exhaust, you will spend a negligible amount, the mod is easily reversible, you will increase the volume more than you think (with the valves open it's gonna be mid-loud, with the valves closes it will not annoy others). IMO.

I went with the Corsa Sport Active Axle-Back setup and am extremely pleased!! Had the X-Pipe first and then added the Axle-Back setup plus I have AE as well. Wouldn’t change a thing. Quiet Mode really is Quiet when I’m leaving or coming home at 4–5am from work but throughly enjoy the Sounds when the Exhaust is in Track Mode which is more often than not. Had Borla’s on my S550 and I must say that the Corsa’s sound so much better.

YMMV …

what xpipe do you have? I was thinking of adding corsa sport axleback active and see how I like it with the stock resonator. If anything, I was going to add a resonated xpipe or do a regular xpipe but with two bottle style resonators. I wish corsa made corsa sport catback though.
I really like the tone of corsa over borla but not sure how I will like the volume.

Steeda X-Pipe and that might be the combination you’re looking for. My setup is not too obnoxiously loud like some but I love the note at all RPM’s and even the higher note at more throttle!!

I wonder is there really a difference between the double x corsa sells vs a regular xpipe. Do you have any videos of your setup?
I just bought corsa active axlebacks! Going to see how I like it with stock resonator. If not loud enough, Ill do a resonated xpipe first then maybe xpipe with bottle style resonators.
