Here's another possibility. It's on Alibaba with this picture. Maybe the part doesn't exist and it's just a bootleg part that is distributed in the UAE?

Again, if your shop is using it, it's more than likely fine.

Can you order another brand of filter like a Wix or something like that, or are you just screwed where you are?

This is another part listed. It differs from the part number in the picture in the last part which is a -KA instead of -F, that could be no big deal. Might be a revision or parts division.

Engine Oil Filter (Front)

Part Number: NU2Z6731F
Supersession(s): 9C2Z6731A; NU2Z-6731-F; PZ1Z6731A

Maybe new filter. Couldn't get cross reference on 2133. Maybe brand new number

we have a few people here who work at dealerships. Let's give it some time before they see this thread. We will find out anytime soon. I find it a good question from OP cause I would do and think exactly the same.

I paid a lot for my car and don't want to risk anything. Even if a dealership claims that this part is compatible. If I don't find a confirmation in the manual or some official statement from Ford, I would not sleep that comfortable.

The main reason why I would not sleep comfortable is dealerships/Ford deny warranty claims very easily when there are parts used that are not recommended in the manual or from any other official Ford website. Now in the case of OP that will not be the issue, since he has proof that his dealership used that part on his vehicle, but still, an owner wants the right parts in/on his vehicle to prevent future issues.

It's probably a geographical thing, I only see it listed for Saudi Arabia and Australia

Ford Parts must have it buried somewhere I just see it on reseller sites

Wouldn't try and use it this says it's a FL-910 replacement. The FL-910 is not compatible having a .75 [ 3/4 ] inch thread wear as the FL-500 is M22 x 1.50 thread.

@LevittownFordParts :thumbsup:is a sponsor of this site and a dealership we've relied on heavily. I'm CCing them, so they can offer feedback. You could get a response as soon as Monday, 17 March in the AM.

Edit,

FWIW, my findings were similar: I cannot get anything to line up. When I attempting to do any cross-reference from a Ford or commercial site, I could not. The only sites showing FL-2133 as the new item are foreign.

I believe the Fl2133 was used when the FL 500 was in short supply. It is not a replacement for it as the Fl 500 is still available. Purolater makes the FL 500 and could not keep up with demand so Ford had another manufacturer make a similar filter. I would stick with the FL 500.

I still order FL500S and find them stocked in Walmart if i forget to order in bulk. I would just stick with the proven FL500S
