Jack it by the pumpkin or front subframe, and put the pucks/jacks on the pinch welds
Jacking Points.jpg
So, I tried jacking up where the points are so that I could install the under-air passage fins that come with the performance pack. My issue is with the huge new cover under the engine at the front of the car, I could not see the jacking points. Furthermore, the jack stand areas, seemed to be right where you installed the under-air passage fins. Has anyone else come across this?

Jacking rails can be a welcome addition to the car. I installed a set a few days after receiving my '22. The rails allow for jack and jack stand placement along the length of the rail.

@tj@steeda can answer any product questions you have.

Ramps are also something to consider. Some fabricate their own. I purchased and use a set from RaceRamps.

Just now catching up on this thread. I'm considering purchasing the Steeda jacking rails but don't know what jack stands I should go with. Thoughhts.suggestions?

Also, are you saying that RaceRamps are an alternative option you use for when tires/wheels don't have to be removed?

Thanks!

I don't have a preference on jack stands. Those that do can comment on why they prefer one brand over another. They're simple devices. Find some with good reviews that are not so small you wonder if they'll hold, but not so sturdy and cumbersome they're a pain to get into place. Each corner of the car is roughly 1000 lb / 453 kg. One stand type in the 2.5 to 3.0 ton (2267+ kg) range should be fine.

The ramps are a good alternative for me. While I could get the same effect using a jack and stands, driving up on the ramps is simpler and quicker.

The jack and the stands work well during tire rotations or quick checks underneath.

The ramps, primarily for oil changes, but any time I'll need to be under the car and want maximum lift.

Going one step further, a Quickjack. People love them. https://www.quickjack.com/

Great piece of equipment. I had a jack and stands. The ramps were enough to support what I do on my own. Someone doing more extensive maintenance, making mods or needing greater lift might consider a Quickjack.

Thanks for the reply! For the time being I'll go with the Race Ramps. Which version did you go with? My other consideration is that I have a newer full size pickup truck and it would be ideal if I could use the same ramps for that if and when needed. Which version did you go with?

Thanks for the heads up on the differences! I just looked both up and see what you're talking about. Don't see a need for Flat Stoppers for us as we won't be storing the vehicle for any appreciable amount of time.

I'm using these. The Ford Supplement for the M1 w/HP mentions staying away from grades with an initial entry of 7%. The ones above are just below that. They work well. They do not shift when going up and down and the materials are very robust. An additional nicety is they separate, are light and can be thrown in the trunk.

So, that works for me. Depending on your ride height, front splitter and all that, there might be something better still for you. I'm sure the company can provide guidance if you have any model-specific questions.

In the reference pictures, that's a 19x10 rim with a 285.

I use 4 of these https://amzn.to/4aE1eJb (actually 5 with one for the jack) I have only jacked up the Dark Horse twice but worked great both times no damage to the pinch weld.

Tested the Byens Weld Frame Rail Adapter in pics above and also the Hockey Puck version from Mission Automotive. Both worked fine, no issues...think it helps since they concentrate on the welds.

I’m having same issue. No mor K-member spot to put stands with these fins.
I see some comments that it’s ok to Jack car up on pinch weld behind the place the arrow is for the place to jack it up.

I'm going to ask maybe the most stupid question ever, but I'm still going to ask it, otherwise I'm keeping myself dumb for ever.

The car has specific location where to jack it from right?
Those specific location are called pinch welds and they are like a thin vertical metal bar that sticks below the car.
The car jack has a head that goes on the pinch weld, from the back and from the front, so that it keeps the pinch weld in between the head of the carjack.

Until this part I understand. But now the part I don't understand.

Steeda has a jacking rail. This is a flat bar that goes below the car as an alternative for your car jack. But the head of the carjack has the shape to get in the pinch weld. So how can you jack the car up from the jacking rails? I guess you need a different head on the jack, something that is flat right?
