JLT CAI. Worth the wait?

I’ve been waiting on JLT to start shipping their Cold Air Intake but geeezzzz they keep pushing the ship date back on their web page.

I’m seriously close to giving up and going with the Steeda or something else.

anyone else as frustrated with JLT? Anyone one waiting for it too? I’ve never personally used their CAI systems but they look promising.

I like steedas parts but they have yet to release and actually product for the s650. Everything is a transfer from the s550 with a few modification lol. $700 for some rubber tube and clamps is insane. Couldn’t cost them more than $50 for that “kit” doesn’t even include new box’s so more like a partial kit.

tell me about it. i could probably model and 3D print a copy of it for less than $20 in materials

its due to structural reasons. i dont want the tube to crunch in and suddenly im now responsible for a new engine for someone because their pistons and cylinders heads have melted plastic in them, plus the risk of blocking the cats (if the plastic doesnt vaporize by the temps there). since there is some interest, though, i'll look into maybe this weekend designing something. if i do release something, it will probably be a model for people to print on their own, that way it releases me from liability
