Been doing some research into these as they are pricey to get them up here to Canada so wanna make sure it's all good before pulling the trigger.

As for fittment; according to one video I saw they fit fine HOWEVER there is a very slight mod for Dark Horses (regular GT are fine)

"When you are putting on the Kooks headers there was a very slight rubbing on my steering shaft, only when making a 25 degree right turn, going over a bump, I felt it rub the steering shaft a little bit".

The way this was solved was "I pulled the steering shaft and just shaved the edge down ever so slightly cause it will rub when you take a turn and hit a bump at the same time".

And WHERE to get them coated; I'm not so concerned about looks since you can barely see them installed HOWEVER having driven a Roush supercharged Mustang for a couple of years I would love to avoid heat soak as much as possible lol

I was watching Jake's video on his 2024 Dark Horse and he installed the following with no codes.

I think he got the Green Light Flow cats too cause these can no longer run catless.

I've been putting a build together for myself so am paying attention to this stuff. Not gonna do a Supercharger on my S650.

I’m getting the catted ones as I like to roll legal in my area. I would have loved to work with Lethal. Guys are great! Unfortunately getting stuff to Canada is a difficult process. Steeda Canada has that all taken care of so I’ll have to go through them.

Totally fair however if you do get mods, and the company that said they know how doesn't, you post them in these forums. I have moved away from several vendors due to issues that people have had and I have shared my own experiences.

What is new about any of that - it's been going on forever...? Like I said, I can give a few examples but I don't chose to, that's my decision, my prerogative, when you get ripped (hope you don't) then you can out whomever you like...

But why bring it up and leave it a mystery without any breadcrumbs for those that care…. That’s part of why we are ‘here’.

I spoke in haste; I contacted Jake who told me he DOES get a CEL light but that it doesn't impact his driving.

I believe he's using these: Kooks 1-7/8" SS Headers & GREEN Catted Connection Kit (2015-2024 Mustang GT & Dark Horse 5.0L) - 1151H432 (lethalperformance.com)

I saw another video for Coyote Direct who installed the same headers on a S650 GT and he didn't mention any codes so I reached out to them to ask the same question.

Before I order from the fine folks at Lethal (and my cart is fat) I would love to make sure that this wouldn't be an issue. There are cops up here that will pull you over for a loud exhaust and then check to see if anything is wrong with the computer; if they see a code instant fine.

I have the catless headers. But I also have a stage 2 whipple that comes with the tomahawk flash tool so I can clear the code anytime it comes on. At first it didn’t appear very often but now it seems to come on almost every time I start the engine At some point it’ll come on but I clear it and go on until next time I shutdown then start up the car. Where I live I don’t have to do emissions testing so I didn’t care. Plus catless is a lot cheaper. Lethal Performance hooked me up. They’re awesome!
