Curious if anyone knows the specific technical differences of the two cars other than the obvious hp, coyote gen ones?

Seems like the cooler placement is different (M1 has two on the lower grilles whereas DH has one on the driver side and one under car); DH has better brakes, DH has forged piston connecting rods, DH has strengthened camshafts, anything else? Not a lot of info online about the specifics of these cars and I'm just curious.

Don't know more differences than the ones you stated. The engines are "technically" different (gen 3 vs 4 coyote), so differences could probably be seen in efficiency, strength, etc (minimal differences imo). Dark Horse is 4024 lbs vs Mach 1 3868 lbs, so theoretically the Mach 1 would give the DH a big challenge in track despite lower HP/torque numbers due to just weight. I believe throttle house saw this in their test too and concluded that if they ran the Mach 1 on the Dark Horse stick tires, the Mach 1 would have probably beat the DH in lap time. Would be curious in a drag race between the two.

edit: just watched the vid again; the mach 1 they tested did have the rear seat delete, so even lighter than the dark horse. However, still same conclusion: different tires -> probably as close if not better than the DH due to even stock lighter weight and tremec felt better for them on the Mach 1 vs DH

Also note DH has 14 crank HP more then the GT. sim pretty sure GT has all these changes. Maybe just slightly detuned.

The S650 GT/Ecoboost transmissions are the same (10r80 for both and GT only MT82-D4) however the 5.0 V8 AND the 2.3L Ecoboost are both new generations of their respective engines.

4th Gen Coyote changes:
Dual Intake/air boxes/throttle body

New exhaust header and 4:1 exhaust manifold

Forged connecting rods

Steel oil pan

New cylinder heads

different camshafts

New UFO cover

Changes to cooling system

3rd Gen 2.3L Ecoboost changes:

New fuel/ignition system

higher compression

new turbo (lighter/smaller)

new valve train

new pistons/rods/camshafts
