I took delivery of my car in September 2024 and after a couple weeks did a deep dive into all the aspects of ownership. While inspecting the convertible storage compartment I found a couple wires loose not connected to anything . Upon further investigation both the left and right panels where the seat belts go through where missing what the dealership calls microphones. Any body know what these ICE microphones do. Here are some pictures where the device is supposed to be installed in the panels….

I believe these were supposed to be mics for the noise canceling system. There was a thread somewhere about the dealer not being sure if they should or shouldn’t be there.

There is 2 of us who are experiencing a weird subwoofer type sound randomly on our verts we think is related to the ANC system.

I'm the other one experiencing the subwoofer type sound. The Active Noise Cancellation equipment was thought to be the culprit. The dealer was in the process of disconnecting the ANC microphones in the rear speaker compartments, but they hadn't been installed. Further investigation verified the GT convertible doesn’t have ANC. The noise problem is still there, mostly while on an uphill grade, but not as bad as it used to be. The cause is unknown.

You could try disabling the Electronic Sound Enhancment with Forscan.
In module ACM change whatever character you have in the third column of the following line to zero:
727-01-01 xxxx xxxx 0x--

Helped another guy and myself as well.

I had a constant low frequency hum or buzz, don't know the correct word for it, once the engine was running.
That disappeared after the change with Forscan, so I assume it was part of the artificial sound generation.

Thanks for the information. The dealer I am working with has yet to get the microphones. I find it odd that they don’t seem to know if the car should have them and what their function is!!!!!

The microphones are for the "active noise cancelation".... standard on convertible only, according to the order guide. Apparently the "electronic sound enhancement" is fastback only... I guess convertibles get the "top down" sound enhancement.

I believe the order guide indicates ANC is installed on the Eco Boost convertible, but not the GT. At least that was the case when our salesman looked it up.

You missed something…….🤭👍

Well, I guess I did... seems strange that it would only be on Ecoboost convertibles and not GT convertibles.

Like I posted in the other thread...

Lol, that's not quite right either... ANC is convertible only (Ecoboost) ESE is FB only (Ecoboost).

And appears all GTs get ESE, FB or convertible.
