Mustang delivery to Australia 2024/2025 (Tortugas / Tosca)

Has anyone had a mustang delivered recently in Australia?

Mustangs delivered on Tortugas and Tosca finally arrived in Melbourne around 18-20 Jan however all have been quarantined by biosecurity, needing to be washed due to contamination (most likely soil and seed contamination due to being on the docks of Baltimore for approx. 2 months).

They are currently still on the docks (see photo from yesterday). The dealer advised that this had occurred in Brisbane so they weren't surprised to hear they had been quarantined in Melbourne (and probably Newcastle).

Does anyone know how to find out what the wait time is currently at biosecurity for cars needing to be washed at Port of Melbourne?
Has anyone received their Mustang yet or have information about when they will?

I was told by my dealer that the cars for NSW that were unloaded from the Tortugas/Tosca in Melbourne were put on the Parsifal and shipped to Port Kembla ..

Very confused..

I just looked up Parsifal on marinetraffic.com and it departed Port Kembla on 31 Jan so if any Mustangs were on that ship, they are now on the docks in NSW (and probably in Quarantine!).

Sydney Metro dealer in NSW, they'll need the rest of the week to prep it I reckon, which is fine cause I've got to settle the financing and get insurance while they're prepping it.

Then it's off to get PPF and coating for a week.

Based on you getting it last Thurs, I'm assuming that means it was in Quarantine for about 4 weeks. Guessing Melb will be similar..

Yeah my dealer said it takes about 3-5 days to prepare once it arrives. They've been in transit for a LONG time so happy for them to give it some TLC.

Haven't driven manual for a while, so my driving wasn't the best, but made it home!

Sounds exactly like my experience!
Hadn't driven a manual in 15 years.

First stall was on the second drive, as I was leaving the window tint joint.
Has only been one other stall since.

As a regular manual driver, when I jumped into my Stang one of the first things I did was check the weighting of the clutch. It's light but fely quite "springy" i.e. not linear on release. Reckon I'll go through a few bunny hop scenario's before I get used to it.
