2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse
found out today that the GTD is now in ECat, so here is some stuff i found out. note that ECat is missing quite a few pictures as of now, so there may be some interesting stuff i omit because i simply dont have the visual info on it

1. long block for the GTD is $46,666.67 USD with a $3,500.00 USD core charge
2. the actual block itself's part number is KR3Z-6010-B, meaning that this really is just a slightly different Predator
3. the cylinder heads look like they made have been originally made with the 2024 refresh Raptor R in mind, as the part number prefix is RR7Z instead of the expected KR3Z or SR3Z
4. brand new exhaust manifolds, also featuring the part number prefix TR3Z, which implies they are made for the 2026 model year?? no idea if they are still doing the combined cat and manifold on the left, but the part numbers imply they are not
5. the GTD still uses the same oil pump as the GT500, part number KR3Z-6600-A
6. the supercharger itself looks to be the exact same as the Raptor R, just with a different cover design which is at the moment unknown
7. the intake is a single throttle body with a single intake tube that gets air from the left of the grill, but also air goes in through the top cover of the airbox
8. the air filter is the same as the GT350, GT500, Bullitt, and Mach 1
9. the PCM has been moved to where the S550s had it
10. the shifter speaks of both a "Metallic Gear Shift Knob" and "Rotary Gear Shift Knob", though based on other part numbers, this may be a weird way of describing the same thing twice?
11. the rear emblem is SR3Z-6342528-C, and the front pony is SR3Z-8A224-A
12. the GTD requires 91 octane
13. the GTD comes with the air compressor and sealant dispenser that all new Fords have been coming with for a while
14. there are 5 vehicle covers, each one part of a different "Sun Protection Pack"
15. the front suspension has also been swapped out. instead of the regular Mustang's MacPherson Strut type, it uses a Double Wishbone type where the lower control arm is actually 2 parts
16. the control module for the adjustable suspension is under where the rear seat would normally be
17. this is the front strut assembly
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734070482677-m9

18. this is the rear shock assembly
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734070553747-fv

19. there are 4 different color wheels for the GTD
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734070682671-f5

20. the GTD uses the metal valve stems like the Dark Horse instead of the rubber ones on the EcoBoost and GT
21. this is the drive assembly to the transaxle
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734070899398-li

22. the half shafts reference a "Street Racer Package" and "Elite Package"
23. the front brake rotors and calipers are shockingly cheap. each rotor is $225 and each caliper is $270
24. same thing for the rear rotors and calipers. each rotor is $280 and each caliper is $220 or $330
25. the brake caliper mounting points on the front and rear knuckles are almost certainly different than the regular S650s
26. the ABS module is the same as the regular S650s
27. the suspension and under body active aero is hydraulic, having its own whole system, categorized as "power steering"
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734071665499-jm

S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734071782046-2y

28. there are two types of GTD, as implied by some parts. a "Sport" and an "R Performance"
29. these are the two paddle shifters. first is the "Sport" and second is the "R Performance"
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734072100277-6s
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734072104458-di

30. you cannot purchase specifically the left steering wheel button cluster on its own, you must get it as a part of the whole $1300 steering wheel assembly
31. SR3Z-3600-A is the "Sport" steering wheel part number and SR3Z-3600-B is the "R Performance" steering wheel part number. both come with the button clusters and paddle shifters
32. the interior screen assembly and IPC module itself are new parts, though the screen is a PR3Z prefix
33. there is a secondary battery in the rear of the vehicle it seems
34. one of the batteries is not some regular Motorcraft one, it looks to be special for the GTD and is about $900
35. the APIM module and amplifier also seem to be new parts
36. this is the speaker system of the GTD
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734072914340-is

37. the GTD does use new headlights, being PR3Z-13008-X for the left and PR3Z-13008-R for the right. there are also new LDCMs, being P3HZ-13C788-D for both sides
38. the rear lights are all the same as the regular S650s
39. this is the trunk, and it seems like you can still open it
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734073717422-64

40. there looks to be a "Less Interior Pack", "Interior Pack", "Interior Pack 2", and "Interior Pack 3"
41. the puddle lamps seem like they are just the standard pony, not any special "GTD" or anything
42. despite what i was so sure of, it looks like not all the glass is shared with the regular S650. the rear window is different
43. some interior colors seem to include "Warm Charcoal", "Grey Thread", "Indulgence", and "Redline"
44. the chassis badge has a "Level 1" and "Level 2"
45. the center stack is in fact, still plastic and not carbon fiber
46. GTD gets the standard "silver pony" keyfob
47. this is the trunk release mechanism
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734074677759-sv

48. no touch up paints are offered, and Ford says "Contact Local Axalta Paint Supplier With Paint Code For Support"
49. the "R Performance" version comes with front canards, were the "Sport" does not
50. the active under body aero is directly behind the splitter
51. you can only choose between black or red seat belts
52. the whole rear subframe is a tubular assembly
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1734075034282-em

53. it seems like there is no part number for the cat-back system. its also hard to tell with Ford's obscure generic part naming scheme and no diagram yet
54. there also seems to be no part number for an active exhaust valve motor?
55. it looks like all GTDs will be built in a "USA" spec. there is no mention of any other spec

I'll have to look into it when I get to work on Monday. I'll interested to see how much the rear spoiler does for. I know the CFTP GT500 rear spoiler commands $31k last I looked.

Don't need one to access the catalog if you're in parts. And the GTD rear badge is like $800!

I like to disassemble things.
did you got a GTD VIN?
I was able to secure a few VIN's. At this point all but one was for a loaded DH. In essence, these early cars were not bodies in white with a VIN built to be GTD's but were completed vehicles which were then stripped down, cut up, and then made into a GTD. I did get one VIN that was pure GTD and had a window sticker generated. Much of it was incomplete or blank and no pricing. Funny thing was, Ford mistakenly had "Tremic" transmission instead of "Tremec" transmission on it.

found out some new stuff thanks to Ford adding new pictures
1. the trunk area is home to the transaxle cooler, and the heat exchanger seems to be more like an intercooler than your standard transmission cooler
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740579864744-nr

2. some aggressive undertray aero
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740579918451-od

3. the hood is surprisingly easy to service and isnt a "you broke the mesh? new hood time" thing
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740579966815-w2

4. here is the active wing construction
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740580000176-ru

5. finally some diagrams of the exhaust. this definitely isnt something you could put in a regular Mustang if you managed to find one
"less performance pack"
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740580170536-v

"with performance pack"
S650 Mustang Mustang GTD Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features 1740580228649-a3

it honestly reminds me a lot of the last gen Camaro's system
6. the cats are $1600 with a $250 core charge each with the performance pack, and $2300 with a $250 core charge each without the performance pack
7. even though they're carbon ceramics, it looks like the front rotors are $225 each? the pair of fronts is less expensive than one of the Dark Horse front rotors. the rear rotors are $270 each
8. with the right bracket, you might actually be able to put GTD brakes on a GT or Dark Horse. a bracket is absolutely required since the knuckles were changed for the Double Wishbone (as opposed to MacPherson Strut) front and Pushrod (as opposed to Multilink) rear suspension
9. every GTD comes with recaro-style seats. this means no heating, cooling, power, or memory functionality. however, it does come with mirror turn indicators, making it the only S650 Mustang that has both recaros and mirror indicators at the same time
10. the headlights and LDCMs are the same as used on the regular S650s, which means amber DRLs might be doable by finding the software version of a GTD's modules and programming your own with that. this part is speculation, though

I've been going through the GTD listings part by part as well and noticed the rotors, etc. That pricing will definitely change. Interesting comparing the Dark Horse to the GTD, part by part, in seeking out where some of the weight gains are coming from. It'd be nice if they also listed the weight for a given part...

Aaaaaand just like that Ford now lists the front GTD rotors at 5k suggested retail. Dammit!

Roket is my hero on this forum. He always comes with some information we normally never find.
Thanks for all your hard work man.
thank you so much. i always do my best to help. at the risk of sounding sappy and oversharing, comments like this are what make my days great. knowing im actually helping people keeps me going, even in the face of my pretty bad self-worth issues
