Y'all are gonna think I'm crazy. It was raining when I took delivery of my GT, so I literally drove it onto the trailer and went home without so much as a test drive. I did visually inspect the car and was satisfied that the body panels were all properly aligned and the paint was well sprayed, but that's about it. Fortunately, there were no issues with the electronics or engine. Agreed with the above post about putting the car on a charger.

I am visiting the service the next day. If they do not fix it on the spot, I will try the charger.

I performed a dealer lot walkaround on my GT, started it up, looked under the hood/bonnet. That was about it. Post sale; I asked the Sales Rep to give me a "briefing" (which he generously did) on some of the cars bells and whistles (that my RS did not have). And.....................had him show me where all the cars "nannies" were located in the menus and shut those annoying PsOStuff OFF! 😎

I have some annoying issues with my new Mustang.
I picked up the Mustang from the dealer, brand new, two days ago.
I covered some miles and discovered quickly that the cruise control buttons, lane assist and drive modes did not work.
I read here and there that reset of Sync 4 should help. It didn't.

I visited the dealer today, but it was too busy to check it, so I was scheduled for this coming Wednesday. When I got home, I checked the fuse box, pressed all the fuses down, and some clicked as if they were loose.
I checked the left buttons on the steering wheel, and they all worked. I was delighted, but my happiness did not last long.
This evening my son asked to take him for a short ride, and I quickly discovered the cruise control, driving modes, and lane assist did not work back again. The whole left cluster on the steering wheel is dead again.

My 2008 GT is more reliable.
I bought my wife a 24 gt a10 and have a 25 dark horse 6 speed for myself, and all I can say is Fords quality control is crap. The gt has been in and out of the shop the whole time we have had it. 800 miles it broke down and left my wife stranded in the middle of the night, at 1200 miles it required a brand new transmission, around 1800 miles it started consuming about 3/4 of a quart every 5-600 miles, at 2400 miles it needed a new alternator. That doesnt include the many interior rattles from day 1 or the fact that the radio regularly disconnects from carplay plugged in or blue tooth. My dark horse just has the radio issue but more frequent, an occasional black radio screen at start up, and factory paint defects on the roof, bumper, fenders and hood that I have been waiting almost 5 months for ford to fix. Apparently the warranty department had a heartattack when they found out it would cost 7k parts and labor.

I can’t imagine inspecting the whole car by myself before closing the deal. As it is annoying and spoiled the fun of buying a brand new car, it is still a great car, with great features and comfort.
As opposed to the fun of owning a brand new car, while you’re sitting in the service department waiting impatiently for a diagnosis? Or waiting for your new car at home while the service department queues it up for eventual work?

I much prefer driving the car, rather than waiting on repairs.

I believe doing the Test Drive is a wise decision. But,
Unless you test driver is from Denver to Las Vegas, it’s impossible to catch everything.
Drive it & enjoy.
it could be worse.
Back in the 1960s the
Chevrolet Corvair had its problems with the engines falling out.

I tried that already. Did not work
How long did you keep it disconnected?

Worth trying it again by disconnecting the negative terminal for 30 min then hooking it back up.

Doing that fixed software glitches I had after an update. Worth a shot...

Make sure that battery is at a FULL charge. This car hates a weak battery. I had all sorts of glitches with mine until I fully charged up the battery. Now I keep it on a tender, year round. Had zero problems since.
Very True indeed.
When I took my 2024 GT Rapid Red Mustang for a test ride.
They had to replace the battery before I could drive it.
The Blend Date was 04-30-24.
It had 84 miles on it & it must have set it place for a long time.
I made the purchase on 03-30-24.

Could the Lemon Law, buy back be in you
Favor?
The Car Play screen going Back seems to be an issue for a lot of us?
I use the Car Play wireless app.
Mine will go Black Screen for about 2-3 minutes and then come back on and Stay On.
It doesn’t do it often, but it has done it.
Good Luck
Side Bar.
Could or would any of the Employees of the Flat Rock Assembly Plant come on this forum & maybe give us some insider information we’re not privy to?
Just a thought!

We have been going through the process for a few months now but Ford still doesn't want to take it back, they keep offering to just give us some money to keep it, hell we would be happy if they would just let us exchange it for another vehicle if they don't want to buy it back. At this point no matter what they fix on it my wife will never trust the car, which sucks because I had this romanticized image of his and hers mustangs and its been a nightmare in reality lol.

I disconnected the battery for 2 minutes tops. 30 minutes? Never heard of such a long time needed.

It seems Ford QC is inconsistent.
Mine must be a Wednesday car.
