Congrats! ! ! I have no idea what the terrain is like where you live but you will need to teach yourself how to start, on a hill, without any rollback. Start on less steep inclines and progress to steeper inclines. This is imperative, for those inevitable situations, when you have an idiot behind you. Glenn
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the manuals have hill start assist ... ;)

They might. I didn't know if it is included in all models, or an option, so thought I would give my 2¢. I feel this is something important to learn and many drivers don't consider it until they're stuck in a dicy situation. Maybe it's just getting into or out of a parking space but when it's upon you, it's too late. I started driving a stick in the 60's and there was no such thing as "hill start assist." It is also possible to use the parking brake, as an assistant. Glenn

Took delivery on Thursday and I've owned it for 3 days thus far. Boy, it's been an amazing
Congratulations! That was the same problem I had with mine: a long wait with no end in sight. I found mine headed to a dealer in Texas and haven't looked back.

When it comes to driving a manual, give it about a week and a half to 2 weeks and you will be well on your way to not even having to think about it. I have driven one all my life and it just becomes second nature after you get use to the vehicle and the way it likes to be driven!

I agree 100% on all of this. I was only pointing out the fact that it would be easier now than when we learned to drive a manual. I learned in thr 70s.

Mine has ended as well! Wait, I live north of the Wall already?!?!?! My watch never ends!

The Dark Horse is waiting for PDI and detailing but it arrived before the ETA and I'll be getting her from the dealership on Thursday (Monday being a Holiday) HOWEVER the money changed hands and here we are.

Thanks! Fortunately, Texas is a very flat state outside of Austin so don't have to worry about that too much. I did take it down to Austin and didn't have trouble thanks to the hill start assist. I also went through downtown Houston for another test to see if the car can get by with the low front splitter. Didn't grind it at all while I was down there. This car is very much serviceable as a daily.

You are so right about this! after a few weeks it started to feel second nature. Maybe even moreso after I take it out to the track a few times and really start pushing it. I absolutely love shifting and revving out this Coyote V8.

That's awesome! I am glad that you are enjoying it. Everyone gets intimidated to drive a manual at first, but after you get use to it, its hard to go back to an automatic.
