A couple of questions about my S650 Mustang:

1️⃣ Lane Centering Issues – Is it just me, or is the lane centering on this car really bad? It struggles to keep the car centered, even on slight curves, which wasn’t an issue in my previous Ford vehicles—even the last-gen Mustang handled it better. Anyone else noticing this?

2️⃣ Window Seal Issue – I’ve noticed that when opening the door, the window doesn’t drop quickly enough, and it catches on the seal. Is there any way to prevent this?

3️⃣ Puddle Light & Auto-Fold Mirrors – In the last-gen Mustang, the puddle lights stayed on when opening the door, but on this one, they turn off as soon as the mirrors unfold. Is there a way to keep them on longer?

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Thanks in advance.

How did the Aussie cars get auto fold mirrors and my GT premium doesn’t have them?

1) it’s just you
2) lube the seal with Ford’s Krytox grease - they use it for the twin panel moonroof in the F series.
3) Not sure about this.

Maybe they did not do a great job calibrating the Lane Centering for RHD

You're not missing much, they don't fold very far - almost to the point of why bother.

What does piss me off is that the passenger side mirror doesn't tilt down when you're in reverse. It's a great feature for parking and protecting your rims. My 2009 Honda and my wife's 2018 VW both have this feature.

If it does have this feature pls tell me how to enable it, having the mirror selected/turned on for the passenger side before putting it in reverse doesn't do it (this is how it works in the other cars)

I like the fold-in mirrors, despite not folding in a huge amount much.
It provides visual feedback as I'm walking away from vehicle, that the vehicle has actually locked.

Sometimes those capacitive-touch sensors don't always registered your input, depending on the state of your finger, moisture, finger placement etc. Seeing the mirrors fold is nice. :thumbsup:

That requires memory seats and mirrors I think

1) you can turn it off via a button on the steering wheel. Will need to do it everytime you start the car though. It's part of my startup routine now.

2) Hasn't happened to me but I see someone has posted a potential fix.

3) Try going to Settings->Vehicle->Lighting and adjust the exterior light timing, default is 10secs. This might let the ponies play a little longer but also prob keeps the headlights etc...on longer as well.

For #1, I’ve noticed a similar thing with my Maverick. My ‘22 did a great job with centering, but my ‘25 acts like you described; even on straights.
Our ‘23 Escape also acts like you described, which is my first vehicle with ACC. I was glad my ‘22 Mav didn’t act like the Escape, as it is our long trip vehicle,. Now my ‘25 does 🙁.
The Escape and ‘25 Mav have sync 4, like the Mustang, so I’m starting to think that is the common thread.

1) it works good, but there's downsides VS S550 mentioned in other threads (annoying message about keeping your hands on the wheel);
2) no idea, it's all good here;
3) same as EU, with folding mirrors the puddle lights will only work that way (with proximity lights). The puddle light is also oriented differently (because they works with the mirrors folded), having them "on" while unfolded, will project the logo away from the car side... while it could be better than nothing, I didn't found a way (via FORSCAN) to have em "on" like in the S550.

With regard to #1 - As I personally Lothe and detest the Lane Cantering Nagging Nanny - I solve the problem by DISABLING IT !

Re #2 Could be an alignment or foreign body issue - ie a Warranty Issue

Re #3 Auto-Folding Mirrors in Aust" ? Probably another Warranty Issue.

Exactly, my '20 Edge with Sync 3 also did a great job. It constantly correct the steering wheel which gave me confidence. The new Mustang feels like not doing anything at all :(

So looks like not a RHD problem, hopefully a software update can fix this. Don't know why they reinvented the wheels.
