Evening all.

Lots of chatter this week about the 2025 price increases and removal of colours, but so far these details have been limited to the US domestic market.

Does anyone remember from previous years how long it typically takes for the order guides/price lists and order banks for an upcoming model year to permeate through to other markets? Currently, it feels like I'm wearing out my refresh button on the ford.co..uk site waiting for something to change.

Thanks!

Expect a drastic sticker shock for non-US markets.

Example:: $2645 USD increase is pounds sterling 2047.57 and I am sure inflation will creep in to the import, taxes, blah blah blah.

For me here in Canada a $2645 USD increase is a $3629.80 increase which would have been an automatic no for me cause it's the same car for a large increase more.

You need to try and find an unallocated MY24 car if you really want a Mustang. There are a few out there that will be built in September for delivery in November. Other than that it will be a MY25 car, but it will be at least a couple of months before the configurator updates in the UK as the only cars coming to dealers are MY24 cars which the configurator reflects.

I would expect the configurator to update in October with deliveries in February 2025 at best.

Ford will be seriously restricting Mustang sales in the UK as they try to meet ZEV targets. It will help with depreciation, in fact I suspect there will be a few flipped for quite a profit.

I'd say February is optimistic unless demand really drops off for MY25, but I'd be happy if I took delivery at some point next Spring.

I was actually offered the same three MY24 cars by two different dealers:

A yellow coupe, which I really like but I want an open top back in my life, so a coupe won't do. A grabber blue convertible, which is a colour I want to like but it seems to hide all the detail and surfacing of the bodywork; grabber blue cars always look 'flat' to me. And finally a black convertible, which does nothing for me.

I don't mind waiting as this will be my "forever car" (though the loss of my two favourite colours doesn't help that), but never having any clear information from Ford doesn't make the wait all that easy.

I wouldn't wait too long, who knows how long the Mustang will be available in the UK and at best it will be in very small numbers.

I don't see the point of buying a new car if you don't get the chance to spec it to your own taste so if I cannot make an order or find a car that matches a spec I might choose (difficult when the convertibles are so thin on the ground) then I'll sack off the idea completely, buy a facelift S550, and pocket the £25-30k saving.

I reported to them months ago that if you add the recaro's it add's it twice so it adds 4k not 2k to the price. The bug is still there.
Maybe it's £2k per seat? :giggle:

As has been mentioned before those 40 odd cars are what you have to choose from if you want one this year. If they match your chosen spec then hurry up and order it, if not then it will be next year and MY25.
