That's what I was thinking. Unless they changed the sensors per gearbox it should be an easy fix?

i 100% agree, manuals got the very short end of the stick on tech, and it makes me wonder if Ford is trying to encourage manual guys to go to auto for the better tech so they can say "nobody is buying manuals anymore, let's discontinue them"
LOL we manual nuts refuse anything mainstream like an automatic, therefore we reject the lane centering tech too because I can shift myself and I will go off the road if I want to. 🤣

My guess is that it is the Resume for the Adaptive Cruise... just thinking out loud.

So, then which is the regular cruise control resume?

I figured that this was for the adaptive cruise, the button above it (attached to the SET buttons) would be the regular cruise Resume.

this one located in the same area as the Adaptive Distance.

Oh well, will just have to wait until I can read the owners manual.

Yeah I think the upper one is for adaptive cruise control where you see the car, and the new button below must be the option for just the cruise control where the car does not break when a slower car is in front of you.

Agreed.
There is absolutely no reason not to have remote start with a manual.

The computer knows what gear it's in, and if the handbrake is applied.
It's simple logic:

If ( gear == Neutral && handbrake == on ) then { auto-start = enabled } else { auto-start = disabled }

They could also factor in the gyro attitude.
If it's not on a reasonably level surface (both pitch and roll), then that would also disable remote start even if it was left in Neutral with the handbrake on.

All the conditions for remote starting a manual could be met if parked inside a garage.

And if old habits kick in, and you park it in 1st with the handbrake on, no problem, it simply doesn't remote start.

I think it’s a speed limiter
Everybody seems to be ignoring your post but yes, speed limiter.

It's been part of the European ACC system for years

When applied it provides a soft limit to speed, either as determined by the driver or as per the speed limit recognition if ICC is fitted.

Cruise Control type (Standard/Adaptive/Intelligent) will be set in Sync 4 as it is in other Ford cars
