Unsure is a good descriptor.

I’d say the light feel is totally different from the S550 cars. I’m not sure how they made the steering ratio quicker yet simultaneously made the effort lighter. I guess unlike pre EPAS days steering effort isn’t directly related to steering ratio and they can twist up the boost however they want.
They didn't on my car.

Sensitivity around the straight ahead is increased but overall effort to turn once off straight ahead is heavier than my S550

I wouldn’t say mine feels any heavier than I would expect.

We've allowed ourselves to be taken over by too many assists. For example, these days you can't buy any new vehicle without air, power brakes, and power steering. Nonetheless imagine yourself sitting in a 1950 Ford with its power nothing (not even under the hood!), sitting on its only available bench seats (no side support), trying to parallel park? So quit the sissy stuff, and buck up!
What you said it was very correct?
I remember my parents buying a brand new 1951 Ford. I believe it was a three on the tree. 🌲. No AC, no nothing just a basic car with a motor but we thought it was pretty cool at the time.

Try driving one now though - they are rubbish. I drove a Charger from the 70's recently. the steering turned half a turn before the wheels did anything, the 3 speed auto stole most of the power, it had catastrophic understeer and horrific body roll.

Rose tinted specs are just that!

Merry Christmas fellow Mustang owners?
I have a completely different complaint than a heavy steering wheel. My question and this is very annoying to me.
My Dark Horse got update sent by Ford and now the mph reads as secondary. Khm is the main read out.
Just a few minutes ago I decided to uncover(winter storage) and just start the car to listen. Been a month since I put it up. So I was playing with the different cluster settings and all of them use khm as primary and mph secondary.
Honesty I don't care for khm, I've always had mph. Is it possible to change back to original settings? Mph was primary when I picked it up and I'd like it back.

Should be in the settings. You can also change the PSI settings for gauges to Metric measurements Too
