Exactly what I'm looking for. Where did you get them?
Bought them on Mustang 6G Forum... they're PP1 wheels, and will fit over big brakes. You can check fb marketplace etc.... they're all over the place because most people change them for something else.Exactly what I'm looking for. Where did you get them?
They're right. I've known it for decades (retired law enforcement, criminal justice, high risk security). There's an amazing amount of "male emotion" in those fields [some of the criminals weren't very nice eitherAllied to this subject, is another issue 'us guys' don't like to talk about. Because we're (gear heads) as masculine as we are, it is often assumed we know how to buy a vehicle. Do we really? Adjunct to this, women, supposedly the weaker sex, don't know squat about buying one. Again, really?
My step son has sold cars for a number of years, mostly Fords and Mazdas. He says the easiest sale is to guys, and the hardest is to gals. When it comes to profit, men take the cake, always paying more than they should. What's interesting is, my neighbor (a woman in her late 30s selling Hondas) says basically the same thing. As guys, are we really less adept, or do we let the glitz get into our eyes?
In the end, knowing is half the battleThey're right. I've known it for decades (retired law enforcement, criminal justice, high risk security). There's an amazing amount of "male emotion" in those fields [some of the criminals weren't very nice either]. I don't know that we're "more" EMO than women, but we're at least "as Emo" only in different ways.
There are some cultural factors at work also. In general American men (me included) don't hve a culturally built in "haggle factor" that is omnipresent in the Middle East and S. Central Asia (spent 5 years in them).
In the end we're both less adept (haggle factor issue) and let the glitz get us (emotional factors).
I can prove it!
Did I "need" a candy apple red, 486 HP Mustang, with a cool ass wing, splitter, wheels and tires? Not really, but I got one!![]()
I also will agree with that. Long story short .... I find what I like, look it over (Packages etc), talk about pricing of said vehicle and so forth. The last thing I tell my Salesperson (in my experience has been all Male Salespeople) is that I'm ok with all of this and I'm gonna bring back MY MUSCLE!!! When that happens, I politely slide my chair back and watch my Wife work!! I've gotten 3 Porsches and now 3 Mustang GT's this way for better than what the Salesperson quoted.Allied to this subject, is another issue 'us guys' don't like to talk about. Hi Orange Fury_5.
On your 2024 GT, you mention you put on Mach 1 wheels. Are they OEM from the 2021/2023 Mustang Mach 1? I have a 2025 Dark Horse (without the Handling Pack) on order and an extra set of 2021 OEM Mach 1 wheels left over from my 2021 Mach 1 which was sold. It would be nice to know if the 2021 Mach 1 wheels fit the 2025 Dark Horse. Thank you.
Wow 36K is a great deal for a base GT. I took have a base GT so it came with the 18" glossy black OEM wheels. I really like the 19" PP wheels but I see those ones are staggered so I think the back wheels are wider than the fronts so you can't rotate them (which I don't like). I really don't know much about wheels but any idea if I can put the same size tires on the PP wheels so that I can rotate them? I'm not sure if that's even possible with the wheel size being a little different?I brought my GT base car for 36k new. I put a MBRP Catback and MACH 1 wheels with Michelin PSS4 tires for under 1200 dollars. Ill be adding a spoiler and other stuff soon. Even if i add a whipple I will still be under what a decent optioned PP car would cost.
Also some of us actually enjoy working on our cars and making it ours.
i bought exactly the spec i wanted from Ford, everything im doing now is improving (in my opinion) on the baseline that Ford didnt offer to make the car better for me. thats why people mod their cars, its all about personalizationI don't wish to start a battle front, but something has been bugging me for some time. To wit...
I see all sorts of interior and exterior modifications being discussed among all of the forum topic areas. Like tires and rims, seat changes, lighting, adding, subtracting, you name it. All of this sort of thing costs money, when in reality it would be somewhat cheaper ordering the equipment you want, up front! Like buying a Premium model, instead of the plain Jane one. If you're buying from dealer stock, your choice might be limited... from them! However, most dealers (mine did) will look around at other dealers' stock and find exactly what you want, or very close to it. Further, if you don't like the OEM tires and rims on your choice of models, most dealers will give you a better deal than your average tire store.
Some of the complaints are indeed buyer's remorse setting in, and I do realize that fact. Some of the modding is done to make the vehicle yours! I also applaud that fact. In my case, I needed a vehicle right now (my Ranger got smacked), and "I" knew what I wanted after spending an hour or so on line.
So the question remains, why not order what you want, instead of spending much more in the long run adding bling?
Or you could just get 4 of the front (or rear) PP wheels for a square setup...Wow 36K is a great deal for a base GT. I took have a base GT so it came with the 18" glossy black OEM wheels. That is true but I was looking into buying a set of take off wheels so I doubt I could just buy the front or rear's but I'll keep my eyes open. I'm cheap (err thrifty) so I'm looking for a dealOr you could just get 4 of the front (or rear) PP wheels for a square setup...
