A lot of it might have to do with the Magride. When it was first offered, Ford could only get so many units from Delco and hey preferred to reserve them for the GT350. My dealer had to use his influence to get it on my 2019. With the demand for the Dark Horse, Ford may have decided they could not offer it anymore. My personal opinion is that it should be off on all vehicles.

Im kind of sad........while I agree a base V8 is probably the way I would go......the EcoBoost is a good teenager car and having the PP and magnaride made it a nice option for kids who are enthusiasts but whose parents knew probably couldnt be trusted with the extra power of the 5.0

When my youngest turns 16 I was most likely going this direction for her..... a way of making the car feel a little more performance oriented while keeping down insurance costs exc.

While not my personal choice,. I always thought the EcoBoost was a good car plus turbo noises can sound good too

How many say " I should have bought a base v8 mustang". Too many lol. Ecoboost in the Focus was good. That's not an option anymore!
Not in my case anyway. I am perfectly satisfy with my EB and buying a V8 with the same option would have cost me almost 25k more, not including gas, insurance and registration. And for what, less than 1 sec faster from 0 to 60?

Driving it is a real pleasure and I don't regret it. I just regret the fact that I have to store it all winter :(

You are probably right for the magnaride anyway. I ordered my car in 2/2024 and got it 10 9/2024. If Ford is having issue with supply they have to make a choice.

There is another factor and that is insurance rates. Depending on age and the location, the GT will be 50% higher especially for a teenage driver.

Ford has always made a mustang for everyone, they now only produce one car, and yes its the mustang. For that to work, modifications at Ford need to focus the once known as EB mustang into a standard 2 door coupe entry level car. Everything else manufactured by them are suv and crossover type vehicles. So a PP or magnaride has no place in a standard coupe. It would not surprise me at all if the standard coupe goes hybrid electric.

I am a huge fan of the magnaride, every car on the road needs it, but factor in the costs and its not going to happen.

It's funny that Europe does not sell Ecoboosts anymore but only the GT's.

Don't understand that logic. Europe was the reason why they created the Ecoboost.

I get that the EB should be an entry level but on the other hand it's still a sport car so why cutting on all the perk that makes it a better sport car. Beside the V8 there is no difference in the car, I mean chassis wise.

Because Ford underestimated the ratio between the EB and GT. Everone was buying the V8. That’s what they wanted. The EB was a flop. End of story. 👍

Who cares about 0-60....

The GT is probably what, 5 seconds faster to 100?

Could be just as simple as the percentage of people ordering the Performance Pack fell so low that Ford discontinued it. For the great majority of the folks buying an EB I doubt they never even noticed it. And MagneRide. Well that was for the few.

Who cares about either. The typical EB buyer could care less. And unless you’re tracking your car no one else should really care either. But numbers are fun, so there’s that!

Probably way less than that. I would say 2-3 seconds.

It must suck being wrong all the time. Do you seriously think the EB is that close to the GT in performance?

(C&D tests of the 2018 A10 cars)

also not that it matters but it's over a second difference to 60 as well
