Was curious about everyone’s thoughts on this and if it’s possible to add the performance pack oil cooler on the non performance pack cars. Just doing highway cruising oil temp around 230. After some spirited pulls temps get up to 260s and I’ve even seen 270s once which is way to high. Looks like it would be around $1500 give or take to add the OEM PP oil cooler.
I see MMR has an oil cooler that mounts like OEM for $500 but no info or specs on it yet.
Would it be possible to add the OEM cooler to non pp cars? I don’t think the ecu is tuned differently for PP cars

Does the kit include a lower driver side grille? On performance package cars that grille is open, but I believe on non performance the grille is blocked off just like on the passenger side. If it is open then the cooler won't be getting any air flow.

Correct on the non-performance pack cars it is blocked off but you could take that backing plate off. I’m pretty sure it’s removable. Also on the performance pack cars the fender liner has openings. You could spend the money and get a new fender liner or just cut splits into the existing one, which I’d probably do.

Even with spirited driving?
Highest I’ve seen my GT PP get was low 210’s after multiple passes on the drag strip when the ambient temperature was in the mid 90’s.

I'm seeing the same readings as you on my non PP GT. Seems normal as the PP are running 30-40 degrees cooler. I thought the PP also has a larger radiator.

I have no plans to track mine, and it runs great at 230+, so I have 3yr36K to see if it's a problem. If it starts affecting performance then I'll take issue. Unfortunately I think a warm day at the track this thing would be limp city

Mine hoovers between 190-210 at the most, SoCal Temps have hoovered between mid 90's to mid 100's for the last few weeks.

I may go to the track (The FIRM) tomorrow if my daughter-in-law doesn’t go into labor. If I get down there, I’ll report back on what temps I’m seeing on the track.

Yes I guess they do also have a bigger radiator. I wonder how much the oil cooler would help without the bigger radiator.

I couldn't find any info on that, 650 hasn't been out long enough to see this tested. It would have to help, I'm just not concerned enough to drop $800 or $1500 on a cooler, unless I run into overheating issues. As a daily driver, with some spirited driving, 230-240 is still within a healthy range.
