......as well where I live there has been a big push against what is termed "stunt driving". It is a $5,000.00 fine and car impoundment and a lot of points off your license but that isn't the worst part, insurance companies can dump you and put you into facility insurance - so high rates for up to 5 years. If you want to brake burn it had better be on private or remote property. Speeding 30 over can also draw a stunt charge. Not like the "old days" where 5-0 would tell you to "knock it off" on go home.

I totally respect that. I just live outside of Phoenix, AZ in an isolated area. A lot of lonely paved roads with no potholes and visibility for other vehicles for miles. I'm just waiting a little longer on the tire wear when it's about time for a new set of tires. Just curious if anyone has just done it yet. Thanks for your response though, where do you live with such a high fine?

However they aren't. The Pirelli P Zero PZ4 is on a par with the PS4S
True. They're actually really good tires. Was ready to replace them before picking up the car, but they're really good.

@akawease ..... I did by mistake as at the time I only had about 1000 miles on it. My friend was beside me at a light with his vette and he jumped on the light. By instinct I I hit the pedal (not even nearly "floored") and left about five feet of burn on the road. That was last June on a day the temp was about 87. I had no worries though these babies can handle that with ease, although I don't do it on purpose. Mine is a 2024 GT too except it's a 'vert.
Hey MAT1955,
I did the same at a light one day, and it was also unintentional. I just got on it a little, and it was not hard to do, as you found out! ! Glenn

I thought the PZ4's were OK. Had them on for 3 years. But I did prefer the quicker, more positive turn in and quietness of the Mich PS5's I replaced them with.
But the biggest surprise was the improvement in fuel economy averaged 2 US mpg better, driving fast, lots of overtaking, on the highway.

I have black lines on my driveway simply because it's quite a steep driveway and the tyres squeal and shudder a bit when I back down...

Well, here is our experience for what it is worth (see first paragraph at this LINK, and apparently did not learn our lesson very well per this LINK). And yes, this all happened after watching youtube videos of Mustangs of all varieties wiping out -- look at those idiots!

Bottom line, line lock and launch control are sitting there in track apps . . . beckoning . . . we know we are going to eventually try them out . . . Per our experience above, it is surprisingly easy to lose control of a Mustang with little warning -- and it only needs to happen once for costly . . . or even worse . . . consequences, so per advice we received at this LINK, we only do "Mustang stuff" if there no people or cars anywhere around, and ideally a wide area with no curbs or solid objects or property to run in to (a solid side hit to a curb = $$$$), and remembering that traction control is there specifically to protect against people like myself -- And we have money set aside to replace the clutch, tranny, drive-line, tires -- or even the entire car -- if things don't go well . . .
