So it doesn't matter which 5w30 you use to top it of?
Some do blend and some do full synthetic.
I'm really talking about topping off the oil thay came from the factory, before your first oil change.

I checked my oil after about 100 miles and it was near the bottom mark. I added half a quart and it came to the mid range of safe. I don't think the factory or dealer brought it to the middle of range or more.

As long as you use a quality oil you will be ok. I only use full synthetic.
Rumors are Ford uses a synthetic blend from the factory.

Just took a 1700 mile road-trip. All interstate running 70-80MPH. Didn't use a drop of oil. Run 5-50 Amsoil as car has a Whipple.
