I keep it in the trunk, along with various microfiber drying and miscellaneous towels, a few spray bottles of stuff, and a couple of batteries, in one of these. Keeps everything nice and secure, and available no matter where I'm at (e.g., stopping at a wand car wash for a quick spray down).

Correct, a foam cannon can be used on any form of paint protection, as mentioned, it will be even more beneficial on a non-ceramic coated car.

As for not getting stuck in the weeds, have a read of this thread, it has everything you need, without going overboard -

And don't rush into a ceramic coating if you are not ready for one. A wax or sealant has its own visual charm, especially on solid colors like Race Red or Oxford White. The only thing is, you need to apply it more often.

Wheels on the other hand, I think its essential! No other surface of your car is subjected to as much nastiness than wheels. Coated, you make cleaning far easier. In my opinion, THE BEST wheel coating you can by is from Armour Detail Supply. It's slick, hyper hydrophobic and extremely durable.

Armour Wheel Coating – Armour Detail Supply

I have a write up on the product here -

I have not, but I'm planning on testing it out on my father's Ranger which is parked outdoors 24/7.

What draws me to the ADS coatings is the slickness, often missing from ceramic coatings. To get around that, you typically have to apply a secondary layer product, for example Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light topped with EXO v5, or Carpro Cquartz UK topped with Bliss. The ADS coatings are single layer products, while also being slick. So it wins a lot of credit from me in that regard.

The other option would be Gyeon Mohs EVO, but I just love how ADS have hit home run after home run since they came onto the scene a couple of years ago.

A couple of great videos on the ADS Quartz -

That's why u make sure that user Kavaca PPF, it comes with s ceramic coated top layer. I had my full car done with it extra 450 to also PPF the top hood vent and blacck gloss grille. Another $1000 for Kavacha IR ceramic tint the windows and windshields. Kacaca ion ceramic coating was used anywhere not PPF infusing windshields, windows, front splitter, winglets, back diffuser, tail lights. Even the the head lights are PPF and the PPF was wrapped inside the wheel wells so 0 rock chips and wiping bug guts off the front grille and hood and windshield every other day is painfully easy. The wheels and calipers are also ceramic coated and even the vert top as mine is a convertible. If you're willing to ship the car to Reno i can give you the shop name. Kavaca is much better and thicker than Xpel. Xpel is thin consumer grade while Kavacac is thicker professional grade 10mm

I don't feel bad. I had Xpel done from back of hood vent (vent included) to complete front(headlights and grill) A plillars with 18 inches leading roof edge and lower leading edge of rear quarters for $800. Rob has worked with Xpel representatives for years.
