It's official. My dealer emailed me today and told me my 2024 Dark Horse order was going to be pushed to 2025 for various reasons. I ordered more than a year ago and it has been one thing after another: Appearance Pack issues, Handling Pack issues, no more TREMECs, etc. You're familiar with the problems. From a customer standpoint this is extremely frustrating, and as someone who's spent most of his adult life in manufacturing, it's frustrating to see all the mistakes they made with their supply chain and production schedule, and how little they did to course correct. I asked if my order would be built closer to the start of the production year since I've been waiting for so long and haven't heard back. I'd be quite upset if I was being jumped in line by brand new orders for the 2025 model year when I'd been waiting since before the 2024s began production, but would still like to know what the reality is. Any insight?

So sorry to read this. I sure hope Ford moves you to the front of the line and honors your 2024 price. Thats only fair. It’s not your fault….its their fault.

Wow, that sucks. Did you look to find one on the ground close to your spec?

Is it a low volume/small town dealer?

I waited for 7 months put order in mar 27 2023 and then said I had enough!! It was the bronco wait time bs all over again, the people in charge of supply need to be fired and get someone who can fix this mess in there. Hell, it was faster to get a regular mustang, but still, some push back on built scheduling. And hopefully august I get a mustang!!!!!

Unfortunately I was told the orders don't carry over, it would essentially be a new order same spec. I would be surprised if any dealer would price guarantee a model year change on a $70K+ car.

On the good side if your dealer has an allocation for a 25 (make sure they do) you can order with all the options you originally want and hopefully MY25 Ford will be better prepared with less constraints and quicker builds

I would save thousands and get a used 21-23 Mach 1.
No way would I do that, the mach 1 is in the $60ks still here, been sitting on the hot parking lot in the sun for two years straight with no wax, and is a generation old now. And the dark horse is a better car.

The GSM at my dealership told me I will be rolled over to a 2025 MY and they said Ford will honor my original price agreement for my MY 2024 order. I told her to get that to me in writing ASAP.

On one hand, I'm exhausted from this wait and just want to call it quits. On the other hand, if Ford is willing to honor the price I agreed to pay on 3/27/23 for a 2025 Dark Horse then it's hard for me to turn down $10K in "savings" on a 2025 MY. Ford already offered me $2,000 credit on my order for waiting this long already so a 2025 Dark Horse with manual, AP and HP for $66,710 sounds like a great deal to me.

I just want something in writing before I commit to this wait any further. I'm also going to make sure I am Priority 01 in their scheduling system for a 2025 since they did the same thing for me in June for my 2024 order.

That is a great deal if they honor it, just be sure they have an allocation, priority code does not mean anything without an allocation.

They do, the Regional Director of Dealer Relations gave me the details when he told me they were switching my order over to Priority 01 back in June. Unfortunately, that's when Ford started running out of engines and TREMEC's.

This is what has me nervous to selling my done up S550 before my S650 is built. The dealership I am working with also has a Priority 1 + VIN + August 8th build date. Not sure I could be as patient as you. I mean I loooooooooooooove my Mustang however life is too short to spend it being dependent upon someone elses timelines.

That's the thing. It's one of the highest volume dealerships in my state. There are 3 allocations for this dealership and I was the 1st order placed for one at this dealership.

I ordered my 2024 Premium GT, AVE, PP, Magneride, 401A, Manual, Bronze, DMG paint on Mar 27, 2024. Nothing but emails from Ford saying the order is confirmed, but no schedule or VIN yet. Dealer says the order has an allocation but Ford doesn't have enough of the parts needed for the build. The Priority Code on my order summary is 19 - anyone know what that means? I'm a recently retired guy who just turned 80 and want to relive my youth a little before it's too late. My first ride in a Mustang was in late 1964 when I was 20, and I once owned a '65. Can't wait to shift those gears, feel that power, listen to the sound, and carve a few turns, but this getting very frustrating!!!

A 19 is not good. 10 is the lowest I know dealers can issue. As others have suggested, call Ford Customer Service and see if they can provide any oversight or assistance.
