@LevittownFordParts So those are the parts that I got! Sadly, they don't clip in as smooth as I thought they would.

I hate to use that dreaded line, the one men fear, but "Is it in yet?". It didn't seem to SNAP into place and fit as snugly as I thought it would. We will see if they hold.

Each pack comes with 4 so I have 2 spare if they fall out.

I basically just pushed them in as hard as I dared.

This is strange, So the clips are too big? I assume the wheel lip and liner are aligned properly?
Nawww they are big enough. And they are aligned but something seems to prevent the spread of the pin. I’ll have local ford take a look when I do oil change.

It seems the dealers install all of these fender flares incorrectly. They are intended to get tucked behind the inner felt fender then install the clip. BTW, the old school "Christmas tree" clips work better once they are installed correctly.

I'm going to be taking it in spring time for an oil change and possibly that black screen recall as mine was built August 16th and the recall goes up to Aug 20th. We'll see about getting them to fix that stuff then.

Do you have them? If so can you take a pick because I believe mine were installed incorrectly then b/c my flair tabs are on the outside of the liner.

These are left over from my Ford mechanic days of working on the 6.0L. Also added a photo of how they should be installed. Specifically on the front side of the flare as the wind pressure will push the clips harder than they were intended to retain. Tucking them behind the inner fender they actually fit back there nicely and the clips hold them in place properly.

So it's pretty clear the Ford dealership I bought the DH from didn't really install these correctly.

I’ll take pics of mine in a bit and show you how mine were done.

Here are the 2 back ones (this is a Mach 1)

This is the 3 front ones, all 5 are on top of the fender liner on mine.

Yeah, if you pull those three on the front out and tuck them behind the inner fender, the clips will hold a lot better. I didn't mess with trying to get the ones in the back tucked under there because of the double sided tape the had on the back, but my right front flare kept popping clips out driving down the highway, presumably from the wind pushing on them. Once tucked back they have been holding as designed. There seems to be just the right cut on the inner fender to tuck them in there and everything lines up as it should when doing that. I haven't worked for FoMoCo for about 15 years now, but I can see how that was intended for them to be installed. Keep in mind it is usually a 17-20 year old doing the PDI on these things that is aspiring to be a tech.
