My 2024 GT premium lost power, displayed powertrain malfunction, service required messages while driving on the highway. Lost power, seemed like it was clutching immediately after each gear change. @ ~4100 miles on odo. Already had the abs module reprogrammed / flashed a couple of months ago as it lit up with a bunch of error codes / faults and wouldnā€™t start.

Pulled over and waited for ~15m and restarted the car and error codes went away. Although I observed that the voltages seemed to fluctuate a lot ā€¦ ranging from 11.5v to 14.v .
Parked in the garage for a while and then took it out for an extended drive. After about an hour, the voltage started to stabilize to ~13v.

Tried to get it into the dealer to check it out but was told that it may take a month or so, since their transmission department is backed up.

Not sure if it is safe to drive or not. Any advice?

Itā€™s okay the car might have freaked out once. I donā€™t think you should panic if it only happened once.

I had this happen to me one time in Drag mode, i reached 100 mph and i started getting 4-5 warnings, i stopped the car and turned it. Restartedā€¦ no issues since then never seen the errors again.

Go ahead and put a battery charger on the car and let it fully charge. These cars seem to do weird things if the battery gets low. I had my battery tested shortly after buying it because I kept getting the Fordpass notification of remote start disabled. The battery tested fine, so I took it home and charged it. Havenā€™t had any trouble since. The alternator is designed to maintain a charge and it seems like on these cars if the battery gets low just driving it around town isnā€™t going to get it charged back up. My voltage fluctuates as well, but I havenā€™t seen it below 12.5.

Same thing happen to me. Car is at the dealer right now. They told me the car is confused on what gear it has to be in while driving and itā€™s a software issue where they need to get the programming from Ford. Just concerned because as it happen when I was on the freeway way it cut the power immediately and I heard grinding coming from the center console. Hopefully nothing got damage šŸ™šŸ¼
