I have a dark horse premium with HP, factory tires are useless in the cold, I ended up buying the continental's 285/40/19's the first week I owned it. I think they are a good compromise for the cooler temps. I plan to put PS4S on mustang GTD replica wheels when temps warm up this spring. I think these will look good with the blue ember metallic.

Well the issue is definitely a dime a dozen for sure but it’s the same for GT’s, Chargers, Challengers, or any non serialized MV. C8’s are very quick in stock form and if you can find a 1LT w/Z51 pack it will be fairly short money if mid 70’s is short money 🤣🤣🤣

but someone thinks Corvettes are worth the money:

Rick Hendrick bought the first C8 Corvette for $3 million, and the first C8 Corvette Z06 for $3.6 million, both considerable premiums for a car that starts at $68,300. Barrett-Jackson, which put on the auction, the $3.7 million for the latest first Corvette would go to the American Red Cross and auction fees would be waived.
Your on the wrong form. If you want to post about C8's please go to a Corvette form. If you feel it's a click well it is its a form for and about Mustangs. It's more of an edicate thing. It seems all your posts are on the c8 Corvettes. This is not about if your a car guy that's great but most on here focus on Mustangs and Mustang information. As a new member welcome to our click.

Hey all, I've been looking at vehicles for the past 3 months and been playing around with builds of all kinds, but I've pretty much settled on getting a DarkHorse Premium. Had 3 Stangs in the past, got a RAM truck, but going back to the Mustang. Not a fan of turbo V6's.
Done so much research on forums, groups, etc, but still would like some input on a few things.

I've decided NOT to get the DH Handling package, b/c I'm never going to take it to a track, and a set of tires with that package would typically cost around $2600 on average. I've also heard they don't last that long miles wise and its difficult to find all season tires in those sizes. Without the DH handling packages its around $1,100 for a set of 4. Also, I don't want to deal that that splitter bottoming out.
Ford says not to use the tires under 45 degrees and they are rated as "Summer Tires." That doesn't workout for me where I live b/c temps will be lower at times and I don't want to change them often.

1. So my first question is what is a good recommended "All Season" tire for the DH? I've heard about Michelin AS tires, but was looking at the P Zero Nero AS ones for the DH. Anyone tried those?

I plan on doing a car audio upgrade where I'll put in 2 10" subs. In the past I've had systems in older Mustangs that would cause TV's to blur in nearby shops on bass hits and even shutdown fast food sytems when I was younger. Although I'm not looking for anything to that magnitude since I listen mostly to Rock, Metal, and only old Hip Hop pre 2000.
Also, since I'll have the 12 speaker B&O, I know there is an ANC and there is an ESE system that pumps artificial sound into the cabin. I plan on getting both disabled by the dealer. ANC makes and aftermarket system sound terrible from my RAM experiene before it was disabled. Disabling made the radio sound so much better and the exhaust in cabin as well.

2. Would excessive bass cause any damage to the screens in these cars, or cause that wavyness? I know some have done audio upgrades.

3. Speaking of the screens, I know there was a big recall and it has even delayed orders. Wondering if thats on older builds, and not new ones that I would assume might have the fix, or new builds are put in limbo until the fix is found?

4. For anyone who has disabled ANC and more importantly ESE, did you find that the exhaust drone or note in the cabin was lowered by a lot? I'm somewhat different in that I love hearing the loud drone and the exhaust note in the cabin.

Appreciate any help or input.
If you like pre-2K rap, as I do, you might like a single 18" in a flat round sealed box with a medium powered Rockford - Fosgate amp, and a sub that takes standard power. Not a thousand dollar sub that weighs nearly 20 lbs. Plus the sub the D-H comes with it a 10 inch cheap paper sub. You can reconfigure the 10 it for lower midrange. A guy on YouTube used a Skar 10 on his D-H. As for the stock sub enclosure, since it's probably plastic, it may not work so good with a powerful 10 like a JL 10W6 with 3 hundred to 400 watts. You could do 3 JL 10W6s in a box meant for a single 12 of 1.75 cubic feet, which will give you .33 cubic foot for each speaker , wire the double voice coils to a 4ohm, and a Precision Power 1k watt amp bridged, and you car will thump like a jackhammer. But you won't get that deep dropping base. But it will give tight rapid fire hard beats. All in a box which takes up hardly any space. I once had the Bass Fever in the early 90 when rap was great. Sorry for getting carried away.

I have a '23 Mach 1 I use as a daily driver. I removed the Michelin summer tires this fall and put on Michelin A/S tires. I did drive an entire winter with the summer tires seeing temperatures at times nesr 25F. I constantly looked for micro-cracking, but didn't see anything comcerning. The A/S tires made me feel more comfortable driving on I-95 in rain/sleet/snow at higher speeds. So far, I have 6000 miles this winter on the A/S tires. It's a peace-of-mind thing to get A/S tires if you are driving at high rates of speed in inclement weather conditions.

I put a set of pirellis pzero all season UHPs on a set of GT PP take off wheels on my Dark horse with 1" spacers all the way around for winter driving. I have been impressed with the grip provided for my winter driving. That being said as soon as they drop salt/brine on the roads the car goes in the garage until a good rain flushes the roads back off. Driving the car year round with the exception of salt on the roads has always been my intent.

Thanks for all the input. I seem to be set on the Continental AS tires when the time comes.
I'll hit up 3 dealer Internet Managers and hope for a good deal.
