Okay guys, I have the same issue and I'm trying to understand what I need to get this rear fog light fixed.

I have spoken to different well educated people on the forum and everybody has a different theory, that makes my search a bit difficult.

So my car is also a US car and I need to get the European rear fog light installed.

Some say that there is NO wiring in the car for the rear fog light because it is a US model.

Some say, there wiring for the rear fog light is already there and you only need to plug the European fog light in and code it with Forscan.

What I know is that on the S550 Mustangs, the wiring is NOT there, and if you want to install a rear foglight on the car you need wiring + coding.

A4techpl has a US Mustang and brought it to Europe and said that the only thing you need is coding.

Anybody can check if the wiring is already there? This will help me big time. I will tag 3 people who I kniw have knowledge on electricity schemes.

i can say for certain that there are three wires on the connector for the reverse light. i remember seeing them when putting in the form lighting 4th brake light

Sorry for my stupid question. Does three wires mean the US car is already pre wired to put the EU unit in? Or does it mean it doesn't have enough wires for the fog light so extra wires are needed?

three wires means that the wire exists for the foglight. whether or not it works is unknown

This is a HUGE step forward. Thanks.
So I guess I have to order the European light switch with the rear fog light button and code it.

I’ve never heard of Back Up Fog Lights Before, in a Mustang or any other Vehicle 🚗.
My 2020 F150 4x4 Limited has Fog Lights only in the Front.
I’ve only used them a couple of times in the Colorado High Country.
Good Luck with your project.
It's not for 'backing up' or 'reversing' it's to make you visible to other vehicles when visibility it limited due to fog. Also similar to the flashing rain lights in motorsport when the spray reduces visibility.

Think of it as the same as a tail light is for night time driving.
Would you drive at night with no tail lights on and hope the car behind's headlight illuminate your reflectors ?

Update:

I have spoken to an expert in Poland and he said that the rear fog light conversion on the S650 is very easy and only needs coding.

On the S550, you had to wire the reverse light, wire the light switch, wire the BCM to get it to work.

On the S650 all wires are there and only needs Forscan.

After all my parts arrive, this Polish company will help me code the fog light.

I'll keep you updated.

My European fog light switch arrived.

It's time to do the conversion..
I will do this the coming weekend.
Can you share a part number for that European switch panel? I’ve been looking everywhere for one with the fog light included.

Also; was it hard to wire? I assume the existing connections can be transferred directly leaving only the fog light switch itself needing to be connected through the electrical distribution box.

Your advice would be most appreciated- Thank you.

You are just a few hours too quick. I'm preparring mentally to start with this conversion just right now. I took a shower, I had breakfast and now I'm back behind the computer just to put everything on my phone, so I can go to the garage and have everything next to me and do everything step by step.

The conversion should be easy with no wiring at all. Only changing some codes in Forscan.
But I'm always nervous when working on my car. I installed side mirrors with turn signals and that was a job that was 10x harder, but still I'm a bit scared to do something new.

PR3Z11654BA is the part number of the light switch is this what you meant?
If you meant the panel that goes around the light switch, that's exactly the same and you don't need to replace that part. If you want to replace that part, you can order the convertible light switch panel that has an extra storage compartment for your singlasses or something else.

I will let you know in a couple of hours how it went.

Okay, I have one issue.

The European connector is different than the USA connector or I might got the wrong part.

The iron pin on the European connector is on the other side, so I cant plug it in.

I have no clue if its the wrong part number because on both parts it mentions the EU AND the US part number. Very strange.

What I know is that a European guy did this conversion and it was plug and play, so I might got the wrong part.

UPDATE:
It seems like it is not plug and play, but the person who already did this conversion told me that I need to remove that metal pin and move it to the location where the USA part is located.

I have no clue how to do this. Anyone?
