Rear Seat Delete?

Has anybody taken out the rear seat yet on the 2024 ? I could not find any info using the search tool. We think our dog would be happier back there on longer drives. Apparently it saves 30 pounds too ... I did find a video of one by EMP parts.

DBP on YouTube did one in his GT base model. But that one is EMP.

It would have been nice to have a "rear seat delete" option from the factory. Mine will never get used.

Put one in for our Corgi (although, she prefers riding up front)

I added 3" cushion but we are looking for something like a cradle/dog bed with sides so she's not sliding around.

It makes a nice shelf to put your bags on after going to the store

I believe the backseat will fold down into the trunk, but I’m not certain because I’ve never tried it.
We have a German Shepherd and when we take her, we always put her in our 2020 F150 4 x 4 Limited . She has the whole backseat to herself.
The Mustangs back seat might be a little small depending on the size of your dog.?

Im not sure if the backseat folds in my 2024 GT CS ? When I took the backseat out of my Fiat Abarth it got a lot louder !

I asked the guys at EMP the same question before committing to the delete. They suggested and I can confirm there is no discernable increase in NVH. Even when I drove around w/o the rear section installed, I couldn't detect any measurable increase in noise (exhaust, drone, road, etc). Based on what I experience in the cabin, I can't tell I have the delete in.

Been driving since 1970; as much as I like my GT ..........................worst freakin' rear seat I've ever owned.
Can't see anything larger than a sack of groceries or a 10 year old being comfortable back there!

I believe the Mustangs backseat is just for aesthetics. It’s not very functional unless you have a small pet or small children. I think the back seats just for show.

I've found I just fold down the back "seats", put down a furniture pad and our dog is very happy ...
