I have since resolved this issue but the second day I had my new S650, Ford pushed a back end update over cellular network and bricked the computers, car wouldnt start and was dead in the water.

I had to wait 6 hours for a contracted "Ford Road Side Assistance Tow"

They had to wipe, flash, and test the computers at the dealership to get it running again.

Sometimes I think all this tech they are pushing could be bad news.

Sorry you had to go through this! One of the first things I did was disable auto-update. Let them update it at the dealership, or at least when I'm at a repair shop. I've heard way too many stories about appliances getting updates and getting bricked. Live and learn I guess. "They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time. "

Sounds like Ford isn't doing basic "due diligence". Download, Verify, THEN apply.

When it’s working don’t fiddle with the faddle only when it’s broke should it need a poke.

What is the latest software version on our 24 GTs? I've had it for 2 months, but have not noticed any updates yet....

I thought these came with a CTRL- ALT - DEL. In all seriousness this has me concerned. I will disable auto update.
