Convertibles are the exception. If you have a convertible and run quicker than 13.49 you need at least a 5 point rollbar (might as well do 6 point). I can't remember how quick it changes to a roll cage (10 point).

Be advised if you install one (Roush) you better want to keep the car forever because the warranty is NOT transferable and effectively ENDS the warranty on the car period - if someone else other than you owns it. The other issue is you can’t even buy an aftermarket warranty to take its place because no aftermarket warranty company will write a car with a SC - ask me how I know …?

Worrying about warranty is some shit I’ll never understand.
Especially on a coyote mustang. You get a few thousand miles on it, let her eat. My brother had his GT500 pullied, tuned on E85 by 2k miles..

Roll the dice, live a little
Pay to play, aluminator are cheap if you have any issues.

Son -If - the car shits a brick you’ll find out fast why people are concerned over warranties. Hence the reason the 350 went the way of the wind Ford got tired of paying warranty issues 🤣🤣🤣 among other issues.

So I gather on any given day you can afford to fork over 12K plus labor to replace a Coyote Gen.4? Warranties are a "peace of mind", something goes wrong, you're covered. And at the cost of parts today, warranties are a logical option. IMO

My point is the coyote is very robust and not likely to have issues.

You’re gonna be more likely to need to rebuild the 10R80 after a few years
You can get a new short block for under 6k. And just DIY.

Again, we’re talking about people throwing 10k blower kit in an already 50-60K car.
It’s not necessarily cheap, but we’re not over here building 3-400K GTR’s, Nth vipers or Underground Lambs.

Silly rational… people are having a bejesus time affording groceries today never mind $6K for a block (that would have been covered by warranty) or the ability “to just DIY” most average folks don’t have the know how or tools to “Just DIY” …

Save some face and just admit your warranty statement above was silly and we will all forgive you 👍🏻🤣

The warranty with those blowers is kind of a joke anyway

It’s like you’re missing the point on purpose. You are not going to have any issues with your engine, after a few thousand miles are on it.

I do agree that voodoo owners may have problems with theirs.

Well I don’t know about “The Joke” part what I was told when I had mine installed at Tindol Ford was that Roush takes over the power train part of the Ford warranty exclusively. Also, (Roush) if you have an issue you can’t just take it to “A Ford” dealer it has to go to a Roush dealer for warranty issues. I was NEVER told the warranty wasn’t transferrable until I went to sell the car and the buyer asked…🤷‍♂️ (shame on me for not looking into it further before buying - which is why I’m warning anyone here.) buyer backed out of the sale.

Because the car was a year old and there wouldn’t be any powertrain warranty for the next two years as warranty didn’t transfer. So, I thought I could remedy the issue by buying an aftermarket warranty- NOPE - cause EVERY aftermarket warranty company refused to write a warranty on a SC vehicle. So that left me with two choices… I couldn’t even take the blower off and return to stock because the warranty was already assumed and Ford refused to have anything to do with it. Tried to trade it Ford dealerships wanted NOTHING to do with it. Only trade partner I had was Roush on a new Roush built car - 🤣🤣🤣 I finally found a buyer but I took it I the Bum big time.

My understanding is Whipple is a different story in that they have partnered with Ford and all Ford dealers will accept the car for warranty work, I’m not sure on the warranty being able to be transferred though. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that.

I would NEVER BUY another Ouch Roush product for all the BS and games they played. Their CS was cold and uncaring reminded me of Carnival workers …

I have noticed people on here like to shoot their mouths off about something they’ve never experienced sort of like “The biggest penis contest” my opinion STFU unless you know what you’re talking about …😡

My choices were:
1. keep the car
2. Sell at such a loss it was attractive to a buyer. - and that's what happened ... every bit of this was MY FAULT for not properly doing my homework (regarding the warranty) and there is the reason I wrote this large post above to let all know the pitfalls of adding an SC to your vehicle.

But, let me clarify something - I never had one single issue after the install. Car ran like it did stock except for how much faster it was. No codes, no problems of any kind. The claimed HP was 710 something I never DYNO'd it so don't know what it really ran.

Instead of challenging me on every point try just reading what I posted for what it is an informative post from someone (who's not pushing products for $$$, and not looking for YouTube clicks for AD $$$) I'm just an average Schmo that did this and am posting - what the results were in regards to everything that applies.

I have no affiliation with any other company that makes SC's. However, as I am older and this probably will be my last "Muscle Car" if I do an SC again, and I'm thinking of it I would do the Whipple Ford Performance stage 1 w/warranty and make sure a Ford dealer did the install and ALL the appropriate registration paperwork is filled out and sent in (VERY IMPORTANT)

Previous supercharger warranty was non transferable

would need to see the paperwork on the newest but wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't changed

You only get a warranty with the whipple stage 1 kit and nobody wants to spend 10k to be beat by the guy that spent 11k.
