Was wondering if anyone who has installed this had an issue with the fitment not being so precise? I thought I remember a thread on here talking about this but couldn’t find it. Anyone run into this issue?

looking front on it seems fine but from the passenger side it seems to not sit flush like the OEM one. I know anything that isn’t OEM isn’t gonna be perfect but figured I’d ask.

Mine isn't perfect either, but it doesn't bother me. I wondered at first when I first put it on, but I stopped noticing it after the first couple days.

From far away you can’t really tell so I’ll honestly just be fine with it at this point

Same as both you guys but, like @Bluember24 , I don't even notice it anymore.

Heat gun should work that right out.

I am normally very picky, but I'm not sure if I would have noticed a gap had I not seen this thread.

Probably harder to notice with a black car, too.

I did notice the rubber piece was popping out in a few places, so I put a drop of super glue in the channel to make sure it was in place (and stayed in place). For the price of this, I think this should have been attached much better than it was.

I also noticed the rubber channel "grabbed" a little when sliding the new vent into place, so I coated all of the rubber with a tiny amount of silicone to make it slick when sliding into place.

Both of these things made sure the rubber didn't fall out of the groove and bunch up during installation. It slid right in and snapped into place.

I also used small washers under the bolts that were provided. The heads were kinda small (smaller than the stock nuts), so this allowed me to make sure they were nice and tight without worrying about them popping through the plastic.

If closely examined, I guess there is a gap (maybe more so on the passenger side?).

The gap on mine is also more so on the passenger side but honestly I’ve just said to hell with it 😂 car still looks really good and I’m happy. Just need to install all the parts sitting in my living room now 😂
