Yes mate my last VIN digits not far from yours. Annoyingly Torino is heading back to Baltimore again after circling of the coast near Brunswick after originally leaving Baltimore on Sep 29th. Our cars are taking to scenic route. As I understand it, a combination of the strike & hurricane has lead to rescheduling.
I had booking for ceramic & PPF sorted, Iā€™ll just have to push back a bit now.

What a day, picked up the Dark Horse this morning from Auto Protective in Brisbane (Josh and the team did a superb job) and started the 1000km trip up the Bruce home....didn't quite make home tonight as I didn't get out of Brisbane till just before lunch, and not driving in the dark up here with the over sized grasshoppers šŸ¦˜...but what have I learnt today:

1. The car is so much lower with transport stops out....make sure the dealer does this
2. Make sure the dealer fits the under body strakes (mine were in the wheel well, need to find someone with ramps when I get home)
3. The ppf on blue ember makes it strike even more
4. Track mode on start up is stupid loud (apologized for scaring the old couple in the van that pulled up beside for lunch at Childers)
5. Drove for 8hrs on the Bruce, am not tired, no cramped hands or arms, no sore back and legs.
6. Rough roads and potholes no issues so far
7. Where have ventilated seats been all my life
8. Yes there was some fiddling around at the start with the dash, but after 8 hrs, phone calls, music, changing modes and changing AC settings, it is not that bad
9. There is a black pony in the passenger side of windscreen...noticed it when I turned wipers on driving through a storm
10. Had some problems getting mirrors where I want them....took a couple stops to sort out.
11. Can't complain about fuel economy....10l/100km, including an hour driving round Brisbane
12. Flow brackets worked a treat and fit perfectly

Other things that I am interested in hearing from everyone else....thought the bonnet was not closed...it is, just lifts badly when trucks go past at 100, and central console got quite warm after continuous driving, but to be expected I guess

@N1T3MRE

Regarding the under-body strakes you found in the wheel well of your Dark Horse post delivery. We are taking delivery of our Dark Horse in Perth tomorrow. The dealer insists that there is no such thing as under-body strakes in Australia. At least not as a standard delivery item. Would you let me know for sure yours were with the vehicle?

Are there any others who either missed or got them with their Dark Horse in Australia?

Many thanks, cheers

I can confirm mine were also in the boot of my Dark Horse when I inspected it for the first time yesterday. So were the floormats.

Did you take possession and bin the stupid number plate plinth while you were at it?

Mine went in the bin as soon as I got home.

Luckily my salesman was fully aware of how terrible those things look, so I left it in the boot after inspecting the car prior to delivery. As soon as I got home after picking the car up, I threw the thing straight into the recycling bin.

I asked my dealer not to fit it, so I have never seen it. Not sure if they binned it or kept it for spares, and I don't really care...
They fitted those plastic kingpin brackets instead, which are ok, but not as slim as the Flow brackets ($100 cheaper though) šŸ˜‰

Hi All - many thanks to those who replied regarding our missing under-body strakes. Today we took delivery of our Dark Horse. I went on my knees at the dealership and looked underneath the vehicle. Guess what . . . .

Oh, and don't get me going on the "personalised" number plates. A complicated story, but what it boils down to is that I have to take these to the DOT myself and swap them for ours. They have been sitting there for over two years.

With my number plates, which are the black and white Ford upgrade Vic slim lines, my salesman had the plate installer in to look over the Flow brackets and stress not fitting the plinth. So, you would think after that, everyone would be on the same page. And yet, they still fitted those stupid dealer plate surrounds.

Surely they knew it was going to be a waste of their time and money fitting them to my car, that they would be removed straight away to fit covers to protect my number plates? I threw them in the bin within an hour of delivery, so wasteful. Also, being a snap fit, they risked scratching up my plates on fitment and removal.

Well, the next chapter begins.....started work on the new stable today, floor cleaned and prepped for epoxy......don't like my chances of it drying this weekend... once done, the beast will come down to SEQ.

For now Nitemare is safe and sound away from TC Alfred....everyone stay safe and fingers crossed it doesn't make it to a 3.
