I believe my Dark Horse was offloaded at Antwerp today. I had my pending 'Connect to Vehicle' in the Ford Pass app denied this morning at 08:06, two hours after the Atlantic Sky was scheduled to dock. I similarly had an access denied two days before the Atlantic Sky set sail, which would tie in with it being loaded onto the ship. Rather a blunt tool method of tracking, but it gives me confidence - just hope it doesn't spend too long in Europe.
Mine was in europe from 8/8 until 25/9 almost 7 weeks. It moved to Flushing 27/8

Interesting about the connect to vehicle it could just be a timeout maybe.

They had to take my vehicle out of transport mode for the prompt to come up. It's quite a funky dance to do!

As for the seats ... the base is electric, backrest is not. They are height adjustable which was a good thing as i didn't fit on first attempt. Must of had some shorty in it as some point!

I tried to record a video of it doing a cold start earlier (was going to do race mode but there were horses about) but the go pro didn't like it and the audio is terrible. Will have to try a different plan and mount it somewhere

Edit - i was wrong, audio is fine just my phone didn't like playing back the go pro footage! i'll edit it and upload it soon

tadaa - i have no idea what imovie makes the vanity box shake ... for ref the rev was to 1500rpm then 1800rpm with barely any throttle. I'll record race mode early next week. It's ALOT louder :)

Other fun features to note, the front camera hated the cold morning / condensation and refused to work for a while.
Also an annoying feature that's unique to europe ...
When attempting to turn on the rear fog light, low beams must already be on (either manually or auto) it will not turn on the low beams & fog lights in one press unlike the mercedes which will turn on the lights in auto mode and engage the fogs.

The V5 is here so it's type approval numbers are known ...

For the sound check, drive by 70db the current maximum and the same as the SLC (even though that only had to pass 72)

Stationary noise test however
Mustang 94db @ 3750rpm
SLC 76db @ 2850rpm (it's a diesel)

All tests should be done in 'normal modes'

They must of changed the drive by test since I last did them and removed the acceleration phase !

I wasn't aware that it had a front camera - is that a parking camera?

It has a camera in the windscreen for driver assist, they are usually sealed to the screen with dry air.
Plenty of cold days coming up to investigate if it's got a problem.
Whilst detailing it yesterday i did notice a tiny stone chip near the drivers A pillar, and quite a mark on the inside of the screen in the middle down by the heater vents.
I'll inform my dealer of this so it's on the record at least. No need to change it just yet.

Unfortunately not, and condensation can upset them briefly on a cold morning. They are fixed to the screen but not sealed or anything.

This is the camera unit for the Mustang, and as you can see it doesn't seal against the glass

I guess they learnt from other manufacturers that bonding the camera to the screen causes issues. I did wonder if it was the low sun + a bit of fog that made it think it was cloudy.

Despite its shielded location the rear camera can be washed out by low sun quite easily.

Not having front parking sensors is also a pain. As it’s tricky to judge just how just how wide the car is due to the bonnet shape. It’s a fair bit wider than my other car

I'm planning to get aftermarket front sensors fitted. I haven't had a car without front sensors for so long and you get used to having them.

It's bizarre about the front sensors. Ford clearly have the parts, full integration in Sync4 (even Sync3) so why not add them? They updated the loom and an all new front end for the S650 so really odd.

Another bloody delivery delay.....Sept, then Nov now mid December!!!! FFS
That sucks but also kinda follows my end of June (before it was made) that became end of July once it rolled off the line and was finally delivered end of Sept.

To cheer you up (maybe) the sun was out today and i finally got around to filming a race mode startup...
I do drop it into quiet mode right at the end for direct comparison

Also forgot to mention whilst digging around the engine bay the other day i spotted a really silly design decision as shown in an older pic ...
Where the Y shaped hose joins the block (thermostat is it?) under the right intake / throttle body. It runs really quite close to the drive belt /pulley , the entire pipe is unsupported. It wouldn't take much of a rotation to make contact.
Even the idle pulley below runs close to the housing.
I guess that used to run close under the single intake hence it's shape ?

Mine's still there after being unloaded 3rd October.
That's good news that they've both made it to Europe.
Mine was in Antwerp for 3 weeks then Flushing for 4 weeks.
Should be quicker now that the '74 plate rush is out of the way and stock orders for ICE's have been stopped.

Normal total time is 4 weeks, if you nag live chat enough that your car is late they might bump you to priority delivery. Turns out my car went straight off the boat in Dagenham onto a transporter waiting for it.

It's worth nothing that Dark horses (and probably other mustangs) can only go on a couple of positions on transporters (i'll find the sticker and attach it funny that the sticker was on drivers side) so you may have to wait for one.
