I know this is kinda a weird topic to post, but I need opinions of people with s650's. I've had my S650 for 5 months now, and I'm still torn if I'm happy with it. I daily this car and that's one of the reasons I got it over an older Mustang, cause of the tech and the features that make it more comfortable every day. One thing I've done with cars in the past is making them faster. While I don't want 1,000+hp, I just want more out of the car, I like to build up to things before boost. Right now, I feel like all I can do is suspension and a whipple which aren't bad, but being able to make 500whp would be nice before I jump to 700+. I'm torn on whether I should go and maybe sell and buy a Mach 1, s197 gt500, or switch to Chevy and go get a Corvette. I just want to know what others think.
I went from a M1 to S650 GT. Part of the appeal was the upgrade in comfort and tech for a DD. I can tell you if want a more comfortable daily driver, you aren't going to like the M1 or a S197. The M1 is a great track car but not the most comfortable DD and the sync 3 tech on the S550 is getting pretty dated. Plus the M1 has the same amount power as a GT650. So unless you tune, I don't see the upgrade (unless you plan to track, then its a whole other story).

The S197s ride like crap and have zero tech, so I really don't get the appeal there. I'd just get an S550 GT and mod it at that point.

And for the record you won't feel a difference going from 486 to 500 HP. I say wait for the ford tune, get the Whipple, or start test driving other non mustangs.

If you only want 500whp then you can boost it and just not rev it to redline. "Tune" it with your right foot.

S650 Mustang Should I sell? Pain

I felt the same Pain. Best of both Worlds, a Sport car and a Pony Car.
Two different Vehicles each with their own personalities.

OP you might decide to keep the mustang once you see the resale value.
But I agree with others if you want something tunable then go older mustang or go with the corvette.

I use them a little but I have an auto and that could be adding to the problem. I miss manual
The main reason to sell right there. We’ve got x2 6 speed manuals, an S550 and an S650. Love them.

Both are V8’s. Note, the “yellow” (it’s actually cyber orange) one is a GT/CS “California Special” (which has no 5.0 badge on the fenders).
