Update Guys I dropped off my Mustang yesterday afternoon at our local Ford dealership. Friendly service advisor. Actually, it’s a really nice place.. they gonna keep it I didn’t get no estimate on how long will it take but they will look at my brake squeaky, pedals and see what they can find cross fingers. Hopefully it’s minor… Life must go on life is short. Have fun.

That's normal. This is not a metal on metal rusty squeak, more like air rushing sound. Mine does that too.

That’s what the service advisor told me at Corwin Ford in Pasco. I just got my vehicle back and they seems giving me a diagnosis that this is normal. Which is great!! The only thing is they couldn’t compare my Mustang to a newer one since they don’t have anything on the lot right now to compare my vehicle to. I’m confident that my vehicle will be roadworthy. And my brakes for my vehicle would work the way it should since I’m not the only one driving this vehicle. My wife loves to drive manual transmission once in a while. Life is short keep it fun. Cheers.

My car makes the same squishy noise you’re talking about. Kind of annoying honestly.

Hello fellow stangers. Unfortunately, this issue is what made me join M7G. Spent a lot of time on stangnet back in the day when I had my first mustang (90 GT). Figured I'd try something new. Anyway, I have an extremely annoying squeaking, creaking, cracking pedal. It almost exclusively occurs at initial engage/final disengage. Took it to the dealer, they blew me off. I don't think its right. They even let me sit in another GT on the lot. That car did NOT make this noise. They maintain this air swoosh sound is normal (thats actually what they put in the ticket, which is completely inaccurate). Thing is, it's not an 'air swoosh'. I don't think anyone would design a system that made this kind of noise. Just wanted y'all's thoughts. Or if anyone else has experienced this very specific sound.

Mine does not make that noise. How can that be "normal"?!

This cannot be normal. No one in the industry would design a brake pedal to sound like this. The most ridiculous part was the dealership tried to shut me down by showing me another car. They lied right to my face. Tried to claim they both sound the same. It went off the rails from there.

Hi there! I can look into your mustang's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your mustang's VIN?

Mine also squeaks. I actually had Ford look at it during another service. It was diagnosed as "humidity" and noise "within spec."

It still annoys the heck out of me. None of my other cars make a similar noise. I'm also in San Diego with near zero humidity...

The joy of being old and half deaf…. I don’t hear a damn thing in my car except the exhaust when my widow is open. 😌

Mine just starting making this noise recently. Or maybe it's just now loud enough to where it's very obvious every time I use the brakes. It seems some people have the noise and others don't. Did any one else not have it, then start having it after owning the car for several weeks like me?

Update. The noise randomly stopped a couple weeks ago. I fully believe now its an issue with the electric assist. Just to reiterate as well. Ford did absolutely nothing other than gaslight me.

My GT started doing the same a couple weeks ago. Sometimes that squeaky sound comes on, sometimes it goes away. It's coming from the EBB (Electric Brake Booster). Mileage is 2700 miles, brakes are working as they should, but that squeaky sound :cwl:
