Helpful roadpilot, NOT. Your comment could apply to every single issue posted here. You are not wrong, it just makes folks hesitate to post. Just saying.
Awww, bless your heart.

Three things needed to be successful in life:
  • Thick skin
  • Sense of humor
  • Good work ethic

Let's hope you at least have the last one, as you clearly don't have the first two.

Very unlikely that Ford will issue a recall ...
@rugedraw, I know you know recalls are only for safety issues, and I don't believe the AS/S is even remotely close to a safety issue.

I stand corrected!
I looked at the light when I started the car. It was not lit. As soon as I leave my neighborhood, I put the car in Sport mode. The light turns on as you stated.
Yes, @DCS, certain drive modes disable AS/S.

2020 F150 4x4 Limited. 2024 GT Mustang Premium. Both in Rapid Red.
Mine was built the last week of April 2024 and my start/stop works fine in Normal Mode.
Mine had a Blend date of April 26, 2024.
Mine works as Advertised.
But,
I never use it & always push the button to turn it off when the cars 🚙 starts.

They will charge to 100% but it takes half a day on Ford's Rotunda machine, and is really not practical. The machine will recommend a recharge at any point over 60%.

I have the button on mine. Mine has never activated. I've had the car for 2 weeks now and 500 miles.

Count yourself lucky
😀
When I was in FORScan last night making some changes to my DH, I noticed the setting Start/Stop option with the choices of Disabled or Enabled.

Now my DH doesn't have the physical AS/S button, but I wonder what would happen if you set this to Disabled in a Mustang that has the physical button.

Again, I don't have the AS/S button, so that's why mine was already disabled.

I have no idea if that just toggles the ability to use the button IF present and, if not, does it just default to ON all the time if this setting is disabled?

Someone with the physical AS/S button and FORScan should give it a try so you all can find out.
