Steeda's testing showed that the S650 responds differently than the 550 did with these h/x and that h actually has slightly better performance. If you look up their Youtube videos they give detailed comparison of the sound so you can hear for yourself. For what it's worth, I like my Steeda x pipe.
As long as you’re happy! I’m sure it sounds mental!

My bad. I was thinking of our 2022 giveaway car when I said touring. The dark horse ran the normal switch path at first before we swapped to the touring.
No worries! My concern is I’ll prob do a steeda h pipe and then in future switch to the AWE switchback (non track) just wondering if it would be a huge difference or just skip steeda h pipe and get awe.

Great write up, the stock system has burbles and crackles occasional. Was that amplified? Did you get more?
It’s been so long since I had the Steeda H pipe on mine that I’d have to refer back to my previous comments. I’d be guessing at this point as I can remember.

If it’s going to be a while before you go to the AWE, then I would absolutely say the Steeda H pipe is a good choice in the interim. I really liked the H pipe on mine, but love the AWE.

The gains from the H/X pipe on the S650 are very similar, but still almost insignificant. It’s all about the sound, and going with the H versus X and comes down to preference.

Here’s a video of stock active exhaust in sport mode with Steeda H-pipe.
Video is from day we finished Whipple. I’ll go digging and see if I have another exhaust clip with h pipe pre-supercharger which in my opinion makes exhaust sound louder.

And all for nothing, just remembered I went with X-pipe instead of H-pipe. Sorry!

How do you find the active exhaust + h pipe compared to full AWE switchback?

The AWE is louder and has a deeper tone. The H pipe is louder than stock, but not as loud as the AWE; it sounds good, but not as deep of a tone. No drone with the H pipe; mild drone with the AWE.

Did you lose the oem deepness with h pipe install? Or did it add

thanks for posting all your comments in various threads, I've had all the same questions that you've been asking :D

I think I'm gonna go with the Steeda H pipe. From everything I've watched and read it seems to be just the right amount of volume increase, deepness, not much rasp if any, and good pricing. I love the stock DH sound but I also came from a 2022 GT500 last year so I would like a little bit more loudness and rumble

I thought about the Roush as well but it sounds like it adds a strange knocking/clicking sound under revs sometimes, not totally sure what that's about
