Sun Visor Airbag Warning Sticker

I absolutely hate the big ugly yellow airbag warning stickers on the windshield sun visor. My S650 is Blacked out and that big yellow eye-sore was daring me to do something about it so I worked on it. The problem is that I pulled the sticker off and I got it off. But, it left a pretty nasty film of glue residue. It isn't as distracting as the airbag warning sticker was, but it does look pretty nasty in my clean, new interior.

I have been trying to come up with a good solution for this and all I can come up with is to maybe find another sticker to put over it, find an iron on patch of some kind, sew something on over the area, or just abort mission and get another yellow airbag sticker to put back on.

IDK why the governemnt insists on ruining the interior of our expensive private automobiles with the brightest ugliest hugest stickers ever, but this is out of line. Anyone have a good solution for this? I don't want to replace the visor bc it appears that would be expensive and I have the Premium with built in garage door opener on the visor. Thanks for any experiences you share for the community..

Thanks! I was looking at these a couple weeks ago and didn't pull the trigger on it bc I wasn't sure about color. I just bought it! For 20 bucks it's a pretty good solution.

I can't speak to the specifics of how you did it, but anytime you remove a sticker like this from a car (or anything else, honestly, where residue might remain), make sure you hit it with heat. For the visor, leaving it with the sticker facing the sun for several hours should make it come off easier. If that's not possible, a hairdryer would work. It's not always 100%, but it has almost always made things easier for me.

Sun Visor sells them, but there are many fabrics and even black colors. The flat black vinyl ones are noticeable and not as good. Sun Visor has a sample chart for sale. Getting the fabric to match is critical. They also have 9 black colors.

And thank you for that, Cobrakit! It's not perfect, but it's the best solution I have found. I may actually find a nice iron-on patch and attach that to the patch to liven it up a bit and take the attention off of the patch.

In pictures, you see the patch. In person, you barely see it. You might see it the first couple of days because you'll look right at it. But it’ll soon be forgotten.

That patch made of headliner material looks good. I have been contemplating using a black permanent marker to black out my yellow sticker.
