Swapping Seats in Mustang GT S650 - Need Help Finding Black Recaro Seats

It will not mess with the electronics at all going from a power seat or manual seat to a Recaro seat. If this conversation was the inverse where you were replacing a recaro with a power seat you would have issues where you would need a new driver seat module and likely need a new BCM or a re-flash. It’s an easy job don’t overthink it!

Ssssoooo.................................what's your take on swapping the 2017 GT350 Recaro's Lidsoff has into my 401A 2024GT? My dealer's part's guy was non committal on whether the 2017 350 Recaro seat bracket's mounting points were the same as the seat brackets on my powered seats (they are different part #s according to him).

And, would you assess the going from a powered seat to a manual seat issue (cables and pin connectors) to be the same as stated in your other post; given this swap would be across generations? TY!

They will not work the mounting brackets are different. Think of it this way any S550/S650 manual seat tracks (300A) is modular with the Recaro seat tracks (including GT350/GT500/Dark Horse/Mach-1) so your 301A/400A/401A for the S650 series are all modular with each other. Regardless of PN.

but you could get real creative with this and swap the manual and power bases to have powered recaros.......... (yes it will work) I've done this in our lab before and I even recently saw a build of it on Mustang6g finally.

Yes, Ford should be doing Recaros with a 6-way powered base.

I recently got my hands on a 2024 Mustang GT (S650), and I’m already thinking about making a few changes. One of the first mods I’m looking at is swapping out the original seats for something more performance-oriented, as I couldn't choose the seats when ordering the car in Europe. I’ve heard that Recaro seats are a solid upgrade, but I’m not a fan of the white ones offered by Ford Performance. I’m specifically looking for black Recaro seats that will match the rest of my interior.

Here are my questions:

1. Has anyone swapped out the original seats in the S650 yet? If so, how straightforward was the process? Any tips or things to watch out for?
2. Does anyone know where I can find black Recaro seats that will fit the new S650? I’ve been searching around but haven’t had much luck so far.

Any advice, recommendations, or even a point in the right direction would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Recaro's are overrated IMO. Better and cheaper alternatives out there.

They are only an upgrade if you need them, some folks don't like the way they fit on them and they can be hard to get in and out of. I would try them out first (at a dealer maybe?) before you buy.

l would find a Mustang at a Dealer first.
The ones I tried were difficult to get in and out of.
My Skinny Ass found it difficult to slide across the seat to fit in.
The Seat Material just stuck to my clothing as I tried to slide across the Seat.
Your experience may be different?
