Nice! I was waiting for Hammond's review. I like how he juxtaposes the world turmoil with the escape he gets driving the Mustang and without getting political. I think many of us car enthusiasts get the same feeling when we drive our Mustangs. Forget about things we can't control for a little while and connect with the car. Great video!

WTF??!! The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car?! 😆

Thanks for the vid! 👍
The Steering wheels on the wrong side because it was built on a Monday after the Super Bowl!

So basically this guy says the dark horse isn’t a serious car, but he likes it in his heart.

70k is a lot though for a 450 hp mustang.

I thought the whole guilt free burning synthetic fuel in the Mustang was really stupid. Everything in that Mustang was built with oil in some way. Save me from the typical virtue signaling crap, nobody cares.

Top Gear always sucked...

I wonder if the EU cars can somehow get a North American ECU update to restore what the EU took away by regulation.

Giving up 50 HP is a lot IMHO.

Since no tuner has come forward with a way to modify the factory software, your choices arethe EU tune, the factory USA 480 HP tune, 500 for the NA market Dark Horse, and the tunes for the 3 superchargers out there, Ford Performance, Whipple ( who makes the Ford one but has a different tune) and Roush.

The non DH models are 440HP in the EU

What is interesting is some of the HP loss is due to the exhaust manifold required for RHD

Interesting write up on the EU fiasco

Legally, no way in hell. Illegally, maybe, but it’s highly doubtful that it would work. The electronics are locked down way too tight to even think about it.

The Limeys call their humor “taking the piss”. An odd bunch for sure.

I thought the synthetic fuel thing was neat. Probably will never get it in the US. Not creating more pollution it sounds, just recycling what’s already there. I’m sure it costs considerably more to produce than normal processes but perhaps it’s just an economy of scale thing?

No we can't remap our Mustang.

The loss is entirely at the top end over 6000rpm so on the road is of almost no significance. Before that the power and torque curves are the same.

Of course we think you are an odd bunch too, but we do keep up our Vitamin C intake!

Yes, lots of work on synthetic fuels, biofuels etc. Porsche are big advocates and investors in this.

It is about double the price of pump fuel at the moment, but it was way more than that.

I think they showed the synthetic fuel as a way to make the V8 last forever.
Would be great in a future to be able to synthetize it in our own garage but we're probably still very far from that.
