and your insurance. and your money. and maybe even your life. basically, never disable TC let alone AdvanceTrac once you supercharge. recipe for disaster real quickKeeping traction control on will save your tires
Agree. Ran 315/30 Hoosier A7 in my SC pony and they'd break lose quite easily. All about control and throttle management.Must be a different animal but my ZL1 with only 650/650, the 305 were barley enough, with sticky tires.
what tires?Must be a different animal but my ZL1 with only 650/650, the 305 were barely enough, with sticky tires.
Among other styles of racing............A7 compound is for auto cross on cold tracks
As I said: among other styles of racingNo, it’s a single purpose compound for cold temp auto cross.
Complaining?? You obviously have me confused with someone else as, I was only pointing out your comment about A7's being, "a single purpose compound for cold temp auto cross", was not entirely accurate. And, I never said I had problems hooking up, holding power. Once the A7's heated up they did very well, good enough that I ran them for nearly 10 years road racing. My whole point in thread #7 was to point out it doesn't matter what make tire or size you have, a high HP & TQ car will still break them loose. I'm done, time to move on................You’re complaining about it while debating its uses? I don’t get it.
Thank you for the great info! To finish the thought, been driving with the Stage 1 Whipple for a few days now. Really an amazing upgrade, but requires some careCompound is what matters, not width as much.
A lot of guys go with 555R2 nitto or Toyo R888R, MT et street SS is also great.
my car is whipple stage 2 and I drive around on stock 255s most of the time, the traction control works really well.
I use a 28/11/17 bias ply Et street R to hook at the track/ street fun.
